ABOUT COAST BAY KITCHENS & CABINETS
Coast Bay Kitchens & Cabinets (CBK) is a premium Sydney-based joinery and cabinet-making company delivering bespoke kitchens, wardrobes, laundries, and custom joinery solutions across residential and commercial projects throughout New South Wales.
Backed by in-house CNC production, a skilled on-floor team, and a commitment to design excellence, CBK is growing rapidly and building a remote production-support function to scale its drafting pipeline without compromising quality or turnaround time.

THE OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Cabmaster Drafter to join our team remotely from the Philippines. You will work directly from client-supplied plans and specifications — interpreting architectural drawings, builder layouts, and client briefs — and produce accurate, CNC-ready cabinet and joinery drawings using Cabmaster software.
This is an excellent long-term opportunity for someone who is passionate about cabinetry design, takes pride in precision, and wants to grow with a quality-focused Australian company.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Drafting & Design
● Interpret architectural floor plans, elevations, and client briefs to produce detailed cabinet and joinery shop drawings in Cabmaster
● Draft kitchens, wardrobes, laundries, entertainment units, study nooks, and other custom joinery items to CBK standards
● Produce CNC-ready cut lists, component sheets, and assembly drawings for the production floor
● Apply correct material specifications, panel sizes, hardware details, and joinery techniques as required
● Manage multiple drawing sets simultaneously, maintaining accuracy across all project stages

Project Coordination
● Liaise with the CBK Director and production team via email , cloud folders, and scheduled video calls
● Receive project briefs, upload completed drawings, and track revision requests through Google Drive or Dropbox
● Proactively flag drawing conflicts, missing information, and ambiguous specifications before proceeding with the work
● Meet project deadlines and communicate clearly if timelines are at risk

Quality & Standards
● Ensure all drawings conform to CBK templates, naming conventions, and file organisation standards
● Perform thorough self-checks before submitting drawings — dimensions, clearances, hardware placements, and material codes
● Incorporate feedback from revisions promptly and accurately
● Maintain consistent drawing quality across all project types and scales

Quoting Support (as required)
● Assist in generating cut lists and material schedules to support quoting and procurement activities
● Update drawings in line with approved scope changes or variation requests

ABOUT YOU — ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

● Proficiency in Cabmaster cabinetry software — this is a hard requirement; applications without demonstrated Cabmaster experience will not be progressed
● Minimum 2–5 years of experience in joinery or cabinet drafting in a production environment
● Solid understanding of cabinet construction methods — carcass, face frame, hinge placements, drawer configurations, shelving, and hardware
● Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, floor plans, and elevation details
● High level of accuracy and attention to detail — errors in drawings have direct production costs
● Strong written English communication skills for liaising with the CBK team
● Reliable internet connection and suitable home office setup (own licensed Windows computer required)
● Self-motivated and the ability to manage your time effectively while working remotely

ADVANTAGEOUS (NOT ESSENTIAL)
● Experience with Australian joinery standards and supplier materials (Laminex, Polytec, Blum, Hettich, Grass, etc.)
● Familiarity with CNC machine operation workflows and cut optimisation concepts
● Experience working with Australian or New Zealand construction or joinery companies
● Basic SketchUp or AutoCAD skills for interpreting 3D or 2D reference drawings

WHAT WE OFFER
● Stable, long-term remote contract with a growing Sydney joinery company
● Direct working relationship with the company Director — no bureaucracy, quick decisions
● Regular, predictable project workflow — no feast-or-famine freelance cycles
● Cabmaster software licence provided and supported by CBK
● Opportunity to expand your role and responsibilities as the company grows
● Collaborative, respectful team culture — quality is valued over speed
