About the Role

We're Twisted Pine Cattle Co., a small company in Fort Worth, Texas. We make maiGrex, a record-keeping app for cattle ranchers. A rancher takes a photo of an animal, says the ear tag number and a short description out loud, and the app saves it to that animal's history. The app opens to the public in November 2026, and we're hiring our first phone support person.

Our customers are ranchers in Texas and across the US. Many are older, they are not tech people, and they call because they want a real person to help them. Your job is to be that person: patient, clear, and friendly.

SCHEDULE
Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. US Central time. After November 1 that is 9:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. Philippine time. Ranchers call early, before they go out to work cattle, so this shift is the one that matters.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Answer inbound calls on our business phone line using a phone app on your computer
  • Help callers download the app, sign up, log in and reset passwords
  • Walk callers through using the app, step by step, using our help guide
  • Take clear messages and pass account or billing questions to the founders
  • Return voi cemail s left outside your shift
  • Log every call in a simple shared tracker

IMPORTANT: maiGrex keeps records. It does not diagnose animals or give health advice, and neither will you. If a caller asks about a sick or injured animal, you tell them to contact their veterinarian. We'll train you on exactly how to say this.

WHAT WE NEED

  • Excellent spoken English: clear, natural, and easy for American callers to understand
  • At least 2 years of phone support experience with US customers
  • Patience with callers who are not comfortable with technology
  • A quiet place to work with no background noise
  • A good headset with a noise-cancelling microphone
  • Reliable internet and backup power or backup internet
  • Comfortable working night shift Philippine time

NICE TO HAVE

  • Spanish. Many ranchers in South Texas speak Spanish.
  • Experience supporting a mobile app
  • Any farm, ranch or rural background

HOW WE WORK

  • You'll be an independent contractor working directly with the two founders
  • We provide training, a help guide and a call script
  • We start with a paid trial period of 2 weeks
  • Long-term role for the right person. Hours can grow as we grow.

HOW TO APPLY
Applications that skip these steps won't be reviewed.

1. Start your application with the word HERDLINE so we know you read this post.

2. Tell us in a few sentences about your phone support experience with US customers.

3. Record a voice clip of 2 minutes or less and include the link (Google Drive, Vocaroo or similar is fine). In the clip:

  • Read this out loud: "Thank you for calling maiGrex, this is [your name]. I can help you get the app set up. First, open the App Store on your phone. Do you have an iPhone or an Android?"
  • Then, in your own words, explain how you would help an older rancher who is frustrated because he can't log in.
  • If you speak Spanish, add a short introduction in Spanish.

Shortlisted applicants will do a live practice call with us on video.
