About the Role

We are seeking a Junior Salesforce Developer to help build and scale a Salesforce ecosystem supporting our rapidly growing organization. This position will work directly with the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to deliver solutions across Salesforce Field Service, MuleSoft integrations, reporting and analytics, automation, and custom user experiences.
This is a hands-on role focused on executing a product roadmap through a combination of Salesforce declarative capabilities and targeted custom development. The ideal candidate understands when to leverage platform configuration and when custom code is truly warranted.
The successful candidate will participate in architecture discussions, own approved development efforts, manage deployments, and contribute to the long-term scalability of our Salesforce platform.
This position requires alignment with U.S. business hours, Monday through Friday.

Key Responsibilities
Salesforce Administration & Configuration

  • Design and build custom objects, fields, record types, page layouts, and Lightning pages.
  • Develop and maintain Validation Rules, Formula Fields, Custom Metadata Types, and other declarative solutions.
  • Create and maintain Reports and Dashboards to support operational and executive decision-making.
  • Configure and support Salesforce Field Service functionality.
  • Troubleshoot user-reported issues and platform defects.
  • Maintain platform quality and consistency through established governance and change management processes.

Automation & Process Improvement

  • Design, build, test, and deploy Salesforce Flows, including:

o Record-Triggered Flows
o Scheduled Flows
o Screen Flows

  • Identify opportunities to improve business processes through automation.
  • Ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with platform best practices.

Development

  • Develop Lightning Web Components (LWC) to support custom user experiences when declarative solutions are insufficient.
  • Build and maintain Apex classes, triggers, and supporting frameworks when necessary.
  • Participate in solution design discussions and contribute technical recommendations.
  • Follow established development standards, documentation requirements, and coding best practices.

Integrations

  • Support Salesforce integrations with enterprise applications through MuleSoft.
  • Assist with API design, testing, troubleshooting, and validation.
  • Work with REST-based services and modern authentication patterns.
  • Collaborate with integration stakeholders to ensure data quality and reliability.

Release Management & DevOps

  • Build, test, and deploy approved enhancements through Sandbox and Production environments.
  • Participate in release planning, testing, and production deployment activities.
  • Contribute to source control and CI/CD practices as they are implemented.
  • Maintain technical documentation and deployment records.

Required Qualifications

  • Salesforce Certified Administrator credential.
  • Salesforce Platform Developer I credential.
  • 1-3 years of Salesforce administration and/or development experience.
  • Experience building and supporting:

o Custom Objects
o Fields
o Validation Rules
o Formula Fields
o Lightning Record Pages
o Reports and Dashboards
o Salesforce Flows

  • Experience with Lightning Web Components (LWC).
  • Basic experience with Apex development.
  • Understanding of Salesforce security concepts, including:

o Profiles
o Permission Sets
o Role Hierarchy
o Sharing and Visibility

  • Experience working with REST APIs.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work during U.S. business hours, Monday through Friday.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Salesforce Business Analyst Certification.
  • Salesforce Platform App Builder Certification.
  • MuleSoft Associate or MuleSoft Developer Certification.
  • Experience supporting Salesforce Field Service.
  • Experience with enterprise system integrations.
  • Familiarity with:

o GitHub
o Git-based source control
o DevOps Center
o Gearset
o Copado
o CI/CD deployment practices

  • Experience working in Agile software delivery environments.
  • Experience documenting business processes, technical solutions, and user-facing functionality.

What Success Looks Like
The successful candidate:

  • Embraces a configuration-first mindset.
  • Understands when to use declarative tools and when custom code is appropriate.
  • Delivers high-quality solutions with minimal technical debt.
  • Operates effectively within established governance and change-control processes.
  • Collaborates constructively in architecture and design discussions.
  • Produces clear, maintainable, and well-documented solutions.
  • Contributes to a scalable Salesforce ecosystem capable of supporting significant organizational growth.

Our Development Philosophy
We believe in Configuration Before Customization.
Our preferred approach is to leverage Salesforce's native platform capabilities, including Flows, Validation Rules, Formula Fields, Lightning App Builder, Dynamic Forms, Reports, Dashboards, and Custom Metadata wherever practical. Custom development should be reserved for scenarios where business requirements cannot reasonably be met through declarative solutions.
We are building a scalable Salesforce and MuleSoft ecosystem designed for long-term growth and maintainability. Successful candidates will share a commitment to sound architecture, disciplined delivery practices, continuous improvement, and reducing unnecessary complexity.
