Senior B2B Outbound Sales & Appointment Setter – Proven Sales Hunter
Full Time | Monday–Friday | 9:00am–5:00pm Perth, Western Australia Time
Minimum 5 Years Proven B2B Outbound Sales Experience Required
QPC Group is an established Australian office technology company providing Managed Print Services, printers and photocopiers, VoIP phone systems and other business technology solutions.
We are looking for a highly experienced, senior B2B outbound salesperson and appointment setter with a proven track record of success.
This is NOT an entry-level position.
We want someone who knows how to pick up the phone, confidently speak with Australian businesses, build rapport, uncover opportunities and consistently book qualified appointments for our Australian Sales Team.
We are looking for a genuine sales professional who knows how to have a conversation, not someone who simply reads from a script.
Your Calling Structure
Your daily calling activity will consist of approximately:
- 10% – Supplied Leads: Contacting leads provided by QPC Group.
- 30% – Warm Database Calling: Working through our existing database, reconnecting with businesses and identifying new opportunities.
- 60% – Cold Calling: Calling businesses from prospect lists supplied by QPC Group, identifying the correct decision-makers and generating new business opportunities.
Prospect lists will be provided. However, you must have the research skills and experience to identify the correct people to contact.
The majority of this role involves genuine outbound cold calling. You must enjoy prospecting and be comfortable creating opportunities.
What You Will Do
- Work through supplied prospect lists, warm databases and sales leads.
- Use LinkedIn and other online tools to research businesses and identify decision-makers.
- Understand which job titles to target depending on the organisation.
- Identify IT Managers, IT Directors, Business Owners, General Managers, Procurement Officers, Office Managers and other relevant decision-makers.
- Research names, job titles, company details and contact information before calling.
- Confidently cold call Australian businesses.
- Ask for decision-makers by name wherever possible.
- Professionally navigate receptionists, personal assistants and other gatekeepers.
- Build rapport and have genuine, engaging business conversations.
- Ask intelligent questions to understand the prospect's current situation.
- Uncover pain points, frustrations, inefficiencies and potential business requirements.
- Identify genuine sales opportunities and buying signals.
- Confidently handle objections and keep conversations moving.
- Generate qualified leads and book appointments directly for our Australian Sales Team.
- Maintain accurate prospect information and call records.
- Follow up with prospects and progress opportunities.
- Consistently work towards agreed sales activity and appointment targets.
The Sales Skills & Personality We're Looking For
We need someone who is a natural communicator, confident conversationalist and experienced sales hunter.
You must know how to talk to people, build trust and turn conversations into opportunities.
You should be able to:
- Build rapport naturally: Make people comfortable speaking with you, even when you've called them completely cold.
- Hold genuine conversations: Speak naturally and confidently without sounding robotic, scripted or overly rehearsed.
- Get past gatekeepers: Know how to professionally navigate receptionists and personal assistants to reach decision-makers.
- Ask the right questions: Know how to encourage prospects to open up about their business.
- Uncover pain points: Identify frustrations, unnecessary costs, inefficiencies and problems our solutions may help resolve.
- Listen and think on your feet: Adapt your conversation based on what the prospect tells you.
- Be direct and confident: Get to the point, explain why you're calling and respect the prospect's time.
- Lead the conversation: Guide discussions towards identifying opportunities and booking appointments without being pushy.
- Handle objections: Confidently respond when someone says they're not interested, already have a supplier or are too busy.
- Recognise opportunities: Identify buying signals, contract renewals, dissatisfaction with existing suppliers and genuine business needs.
- Close for the appointment: Know when and how to confidently secure the next step.
We don't want script readers. We want salespeople who know how to talk to people.
High Call Activity & Appointment Targets
You must be experienced and comfortable with high-volume outbound calling.
We expect you to be accustomed to making 100+ calls on days when prospects are difficult to reach, but equally understand that a productive day might involve only 40 calls because you've spent more time having quality conversations with decision-makers.
We don't measure success purely by how many numbers you dial.
Your target is a minimum of 30 qualified sales appointments per month for our Australian Sales Team.
That's approximately 7–8 qualified appointments per week.
We value meaningful conversations, uncovered opportunities and genuine appointments.
We want someone who knows how to balance call volume with conversation quality and consistently deliver results.
You Must Have – Non-Negotiable Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of proven B2B outbound sales and cold-calling experience.
- A demonstrated track record of successfully booking qualified sales appointments.
- Extensive experience speaking with business owners and senior decision-makers.
- Strong LinkedIn research skills and the ability to identify the correct contacts.
- Experience working with both cold prospect lists and warm sales databases.
- Excellent spoken English, clear pronunciation and professional telephone communication.
- Confidence speaking with Australian business customers.
- Advanced rapport-building, questioning and objection-handling skills.
- Proven ability to navigate gatekeepers and reach decision-makers.
- Strong listening skills and the ability to hold natural, engaging conversations.
- Ability to work independently without constant supervision.
- A history of achieving or exceeding sales and appointment-setting targets.
- Resilience, persistence and a genuine passion for outbound sales.
Experience selling Managed Print Services, photocopiers, IT services, telecommunications or other B2B technology solutions would be highly regarded.
Please only apply if you have extensive, proven experience doing this type of work.
