Self-Hosted n8n & Automation Technician

We are looking for an experienced technician to manage our self-hosted n8n environments, VPS/VM infrastructure, and automation workflows. This role requires hands-on experience with server administration, Playwright/Puppeteer, AI-assisted development, and troubleshooting technical systems.

This is an ongoing, as-needed position with flexible scheduling. Some overlap with USA Eastern business hours is required, along with participation in occasional on-camera meetings.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot self-hosted n8n environments
• Manage VPS/VM servers, including DigitalOcean and Google Cloud
• Configure Docker, domains, SSL, security settings, and system updates
• Build and troubleshoot n8n workflows and Playwright/Puppeteer automations
• Connect applications using APIs, webhooks, and MCP integrations
• Assist with AI implementation, coding, and technical troubleshooting
• Maintain secure environments involving sensitive or HIPAA-regulated information
• Document technical processes and configurations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing self-hosted n8n and VPS/VM environments
• Experience with Linux, Docker, and server administration
• Hands-on experience with Playwright and/or Puppeteer
• Strong understanding of APIs, JSON, webhooks, and automation logic
• Experience using AI coding tools such as Claude Code or Codex
• Familiarity with MCP servers and integrations
• Experience with HIPAA, BAA-covered services, or similar secure environments
• Strong troubleshooting skills and clear English communication
• Available for occasional on-camera meetings during USA Eastern business hours

Compensation

Pay is negotiable based on experience. Work is assigned as needed, with hours varying based on project requirements.
