N8N Systems & Automation Operator

We are seeking an experienced n8n Systems & Automation Operator to support our self-hosted infrastructure, server management, and automation projects. Candidates should have practical experience deploying and maintaining applications on VPS/VM servers, developing browser automations, and using AI tools for technical implementation.

This is a remote, as-needed position with flexible hours. Some overlap with USA Eastern business hours is required, and candidates must be comfortable participating in occasional on-camera meetings.

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy and maintain self-hosted n8n instances and automation workflows
• Manage Linux VPS/VM environments, including DigitalOcean and Google Cloud
• Configure Docker containers, server settings, security, and updates
• Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot Playwright/Puppeteer automations
• Build integrations using APIs, webhooks, JSON, and MCP connections
• Use AI coding tools to assist with development and technical solutions
• Troubleshoot server issues, automation failures, and application connections
• Support secure infrastructure involving HIPAA or other regulated data
• Maintain documentation of technical configurations and processes

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience with self-hosted n8n deployments and maintenance
• Strong knowledge of VPS/VM administration, Linux, Docker, and SSH
• Experience developing browser automations using Playwright or Puppeteer
• Understanding of JavaScript/Python, APIs, webhooks, and JSON
• Experience with AI-assisted coding tools such as Claude Code or Codex
• Familiarity with MCP servers and AI integrations
• Experience working with HIPAA, BAA-covered services, or similarly secure environments
• Ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
• Clear English communication and availability for occasional on-camera meetings during USA Eastern business hours

Compensation

Negotiable based on experience. This is an ongoing, as-needed position with hours varying depending on technical and project requirements.
