About the Role

I run a growing ecommerce brand and am looking for a skilled video editor to produce engaging Facebook and Instagram video ads consistently.
I currently handle the creative work myself and want someone who can take ownership of video editing, understand the products, and become a reliable part of the business.

What you’ll be doing

  • Create product video ads using UGC footage, product demonstrations, B-roll, voiceovers, and images.
  • Turn creative briefs into engaging ads with strong hooks, clear storytelling, and a clear call to action.
  • Use basic AI tools for additional clips, images, or voiceovers when needed.
  • Create variations by testing different openings, footage, pacing, and messaging.
  • Expected output: approximately 20–25 video ads per week, typically 30–60 seconds each. Scripts will be provided to you.
  • Add clean captions, sound effects, music, and natural transitions.
  • Export ads in formats including 9:16 and 4:5.
  • Revise work based on feedback and use performance insights to improve future edits.
  • Organise footage, project files, and finished exports.
  • Suggest creative improvements and fresh ideas.

The main focus of this role is video ad production for Meta.

I will provide the scripts, marketing angles, product information, and creative direction. You will source suitable footage, use AI tools when need, and turn the brief into a finished video ad.

  • Find relevant product demonstrations, UGC-style clips, lifestyle footage, and B-roll from supplier assets, stock libraries, and other platforms, checking permission for advertising use.
  • Expected output: approximately 20–25 video ads per week, typically 30–60 seconds each. We will agree on the number of new edits, hook variations, and format exports before starting.

Who I’m looking for

  • Experience editing ecommerce or direct-response video ads for Facebook and Instagram.
  • A portfolio showing relevant product ads—not only general reels or cinematic videos.
  • An understanding of how to capture attention in the first few seconds and maintain interest.
  • Strong English comprehension, especially for captions, scripts, and messaging.
  • Good judgment when selecting visuals that match the script and accurately show the product.
  • Reliable communication, attention to detail, and consistent delivery.
  • Someone who can follow a brief, contribute ideas, and apply feedback independently.

You can use Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, or another professional editing workflow. The quality of your work matters more than the software.
Experience with AI video and voiceover tools, or static image ads is a bonus.
Working arrangement

  • Remote ongoing role.
  • Long-term opportunity, with bonuses for meeting agreed performance expectations and delivering consistent, high-quality work.
  • Working hours, weekly output, turnaround times, and compensation agreed before starting.
  • Please include your expected rate in Australian dollar.

I value clear communication, dependable delivery, and thoughtful creative work. I’m looking for someone interested in building an ongoing working relationship.
