Hiring: DevOps / Full-Stack Developer, Chatwoot Live Chat Platform (Remote, Part-Time Contract)

Lead Chat is a white-label live chat company with live agents answering website chats for 70+ businesses. We’re moving to a self-hosted Chatwoot platform on AWS and need a developer to set it up, integrate it and maintain it.

What you’ll do

Deploy and secure Chatwoot (Enterprise Edition build) on AWS: Docker, PostgreSQL, Redis, S3 storage, SSL, email (SES) and automated backups
Configure inboxes, pre-chat forms, agent assignment and business hours for each client
Build webhook integrations that send captured leads to GoHighLevel and email
Build simple client reports (chats, leads, response times) and usage counts for billing
Monitor uptime, apply updates and fix issues. Our agents work 24/7.
Later phase: connect an AI chatbot (OpenAI/Claude) through Chatwoot’s Agent Bot API with handoff to live agents

Must have

Hands-on experience deploying Chatwoot or a similar Ruby on Rails app in production
AWS (EC2, RDS, S3, SES), Docker and Linux server administration
REST APIs and webhooks
Strong written English and reliable availability

Nice to have

GoHighLevel API experience
Node.js or Python for integration work
Experience with live chat or contact center software

Details

Part-time or full-time contract, about 20–40 hours a week during setup, then ongoing maintenance hours
Fully remote, with overlap with US Eastern time required
