• About the Role

As a Senior Tax Accountant within our External Finance team, you will prepare and review Australian tax and compliance work for a portfolio of clients across a range of entity structures.

This role is suited to an experienced accounting professional who can independently manage compliance deliverables, review work to a high standard, and build strong relationships with both clients and internal stakeholders.

You will also play an important role in mentoring team members, improving processes, and contributing to a collaborative, high-performing culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements and tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts, partnerships and consolidated groups
• Prepare and review BAS, IAS, FBT and Payroll Tax returns
• Prepare year-end tax planning calculations, estimates and recommendations
• Provide tax advice on GST, capital gains tax and personal income tax deductions
• Manage client queries, build relationships and identify value-add opportunities.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor of Science in Accountancy or equivalent accounting qualification
• 5+ years of Australian tax and compliance experience
• Strong knowledge of Australian taxation concepts and accounting standards
• Advanced proficiency in Xero, Xero Tax & Xero Practice Manager
• Excellent communication, analytical, problem-solving & client management skills
• Detail-oriented, organised & able to work independently and meet due dates
