Wage: USD 6–7 per hour + commission: 10% of the first 6 months' paid revenue of every client you close
Business Developer
Contract: Independent contractor, ongoing. Paid test task first. During the first month, either party can end the contract immediately. After that, either party can end it at any time with 14 days' notice.
Hours: You work during Dutch business hours for calls (09:00–17:00 CET, afternoon to evening in the Philippines)

ABOUT CLAERITAS
Claeritas is a Dutch company that takes over customs and compliance work for companies trading through the Netherlands. Our clients are importers, exporters, logistics teams and AEO-certified companies.

THE ROLE
You bring in our clients, from A to Z. You find the right companies, start the conversation, understand their problems, propose the right service and close the deal. You work closely with a Lead Researcher and hand new clients over to our Operations team.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Build target lists with our Lead Researcher: companies with a clear reason to need us now (for example hiring for customs roles, AEO status or fast growth)
  • Personally contact decision-makers by email , LinkedIn and phone. No mass email s or automated sequences.
  • Hold discovery calls: what slows them down every day, how they handle it now, what it costs them
  • Propose the right service and send quotes based on our price list
  • Close deals and hand clients over to Operations
  • Build referral partnerships with customs brokers and freight forwarders
  • Keep the CRM up to date and report your numbers weekly

WEEKLY TARGETS AFTER ONBOARDING
25–30 companies contacted personally, 5–8 conversations, 2–3 proposals

WHAT YOU BRING

  • 2+ years in B2B sales or business development, ideally selling to European or US companies
  • Background in logistics, freight forwarding, customs or supply chain. You can talk confidently with a customs or logistics manager.
  • Excellent spoken and written English; confident on the phone
  • Self-driven: you find leads yourself and don't wait for them
  • A plus: Dutch language skills, or experience selling to companies in the Netherlands, Belgium or Germany

HOW TO APPLY
Use the subject line "Business Developer – CLARITY" and include:
1. A short voice recording (1–2 minutes) introducing yourself, as if you're calling a logistics manager for the first time
2. One deal you closed: who the client was, what you sold and how you won it
3. Your experience with logistics or customs

Shortlisted candidates do a short paid test task: a mock discovery call.
