Video Editor for Luxury Catering Brand, Short Form Reels

Tasteful Events LI Corp is a private chef and catering company on Long Island, working weddings and private events across the Hamptons, the North Fork and New York City. We shoot constantly and almost none of it makes it anywhere. We have a full season of footage and photography sitting unedited and we are looking for one person to work through it with us.

The work. You get access to a full season of photos and video, thousands of files across many weddings and private events, largely unsorted. The first job is working through that archive and pulling what is genuinely beautiful. From there you build reels, each under 30 seconds. There is a real backlog to get through up front and ongoing work after, event by event, as the next season starts. We handle all posting and captions. You edit and deliver.

What we are not looking for. No Canva, no CapCut templates, no trending audio driving the cut, no text across every frame, no zoom punches on the beat, no transitions that announce themselves. If it looks like every other small business reel, it is wrong.

What we are looking for. Slow, considered, editorial. Holds long enough that a tablescape or a plate actually registers before you cut. Music underneath rather than in front. Minimal or no on screen text. Natural color that respects candlelight and golden hour rather than crushing it. It should move the way a luxury hotel or a high end wedding photographer moves, not the way a restaurant promo moves.

You should have. A portfolio of short form work in food, interiors, weddings, hospitality or fashion. Competence in Premiere, Final Cut, DaVinci or equivalent. Color grading ability. A working understanding of music licensing. Reliable turnaround and clear communication.

Pay. A one time fee of $100 for the initial archive sort, getting the season organized into usable folders. After that, $20 per reel covering cull, edit, color and one round of revisions, paid on delivery. Roughly 10-15 reels a month ongoing. You will receive a written style guide, reference links and a project template. The look is already defined. We are hiring you to execute it consistently.
