About the Role

ABOUT US
The Nonprofit Guy helps nonprofit founders and executives start, fund, and grow their organizations through coaching, done-for-you services, and an online academy. We run weekly webinars and major virtual events with 500 to 1,000 registrants every week.

We use an AI calling assistant for basic confirmation calls. YOU are the human voice for our most important leads: people who have already bought from us, applied to our programs, or asked questions. Your job is to get them to show up live and connect the hottest ones with our sales team.

These are warm calls, not cold calls. Every person you call has registered for our event and agreed to be contacted.

SCHEDULE
Full time, 40 hours per week. Must work US Eastern Time business hours, including some evenings before live events. Our main webinar is on Mondays, so the days before it are our busiest.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

High-Intent Lead Calls

  • Personally call our highest-value registrants: past buyers (such as workbook purchasers), program applicants, and anyone who asked a question
  • Confirm they're attending live, remind them what they'll learn, and share the bonus for showing up
  • Help them add the event to their calendar and text them the join link
  • Build real rapport. These people already trust us, and your call should strengthen that.

AI Follow-Up Calls

  • Call contacts our AI assistant flagged for a human: people who asked about programs or pricing, seemed confused, or wanted to talk to a real person
  • Call registrants the AI couldn't reach before the event starts

No-Show and Rebooking Calls

  • Call high-value registrants who missed the event and get them to the replay or the next session

Sales Handoff

  • Spot buying signals and hand qualified leads to our sales team right away with clear notes
  • Help book calls with our sales team when someone is ready to talk about our programs

CRM and Tracking (GoHighLevel)

  • Make calls through our GoHighLevel dialer
  • Log every call outcome the same day: confirmed, call back, rescheduled, hot lead, wrong number, do not call
  • Keep tags and notes accurate so our automations and sales team have clean data
  • Send a short end-of-day report: calls made, conversations, confirmations, and hot leads passed to sales

Compliance

  • Follow our scripts and compliance rules exactly
  • Honor every "do not call" request immediately and mark it in the CRM

HOW YOU'LL BE MEASURED

  • 100 to 150 dials per day, with quality conversations over volume
  • 100% of calls logged the same day
  • Show rate of the leads you call compared to leads you don't
  • Number of qualified leads passed to sales
  • Zero compliance issues

REQUIREMENTS

  • Excellent spoken English with a clear, neutral, natural accent. This is the most important requirement.
  • 1+ year of call center, appointment setting, telemarketing, or customer service experience with US customers
  • Warm, confident, and great at building rapport. You sound like a friendly person, not a script.
  • Able to handle questions and light objections calmly
  • Organized and accurate with CRM notes
  • Quiet workspace, noise-canceling headset, and reliable high-speed internet with a backup connection
  • Available during US Eastern Time hours

BONUS

  • Experience with GoHighLevel or another CRM dialer
  • Appointment setting experience for coaches, consultants, or high-ticket offers
  • Experience with education, coaching, or nonprofit clients

PAY
$900 to $1,100 per month based on experience, plus a monthly bonus when show rates rise on the leads you call.

HIRING PROCESS
Voice recording review, then a live mock call, then a paid trial week.

HOW TO APPLY
Applications without a voice recording will not be reviewed. Send:

1. A voice recording (Vocaroo or Loom link) of you reading this script naturally, as if you're on a real call:

"Hi, is this Sarah? Hey Sarah, this is [your name] from The Nonprofit Guy. I saw you grabbed our grant workbook, and you're registered for our free training this Monday at 7pm Eastern on how to fund your nonprofit. I just wanted to personally make sure you're still planning to join us live, because Blake is going deeper on the exact steps from the workbook. Awesome! We're also giving a free grant checklist to everyone who stays until the end. Can I text you the link so it's easy to find?"

2. A second short recording (under 1 minute) answering this question in your own words: "Tell us about your best phone job and why you were good at it."

3. Answers to the screening questions below

4. Start your subject line with "Nonprofit Guy Caller"

SCREENING QUESTIONS
1. A registrant says, "I'm not sure I'll have time, I'm really busy Monday." What do you say?
2. Someone answers and says, "Stop calling me." What do you do on the call and in the CRM?
3. During a confirmation call, someone asks, "How much does your program cost?" How do you handle it?
4. How many calls per day have you made in past jobs, and what was your contact or conversion rate?
5. Describe your work setup: internet speed, backup connection, headset, and workspace.
