This is a firm, experience-required role. We are not training beginners on this one. If you don't have a real email design portfolio, please don't apply.
About Us
We're a small, boutique email marketing agency working with ecommerce and DTC brands. Right now the core team is just two of us, and we're building deliberately. Our long-term model is to run in pods (account manager, graphic designer, copywriter, and email builder per 5-10 clients) as we grow, but today it's lean: you, the founder, and a dedicated email builder handling the Klaviyo/Omnisend side.
That means this isn't a "slot into an existing machine" job. You'll have real input into how the design process works as we scale, and you'll be one of the first hires as we build toward the full pod structure.
The Role
We need a proper graphic designer, someone who lives in Figma and can design scroll-stopping, on-brand email templates for ecommerce clients. This is not a "drag and drop template" job. You'll be designing the actual visual layout, hierarchy, and style of campaign and flow emails from scratch, working from brand guidelines, past campaigns, and direct creative direction from the founder (until we bring on dedicated copywriters and account managers).
You will NOT be doing the Klaviyo/Omnisend build or scheduling, that's handled by our dedicated email builder. Your job is the design file. Clean, well-organized Figma work that a builder can pick up and slice without guesswork.
What You'll Be Doing
Designing email campaigns and flow templates in Figma (product launches, promos, custom email flow build outs etc.)
Maintaining brand consistency across multiple client accounts
Organizing Figma files cleanly (proper naming, layers, components) so builders can hand off quickly
Working from copy provided to make sure design supports the hierarchy (subject, header, CTA, body)
Adapting design systems for different brand aesthetics, this isn't one-size-fits-all
Occasionally designing supporting assets (banners, popups, social-to -email crossovers)
What We're Looking For
Strong portfolio of email design work (ecommerce/DTC experience is a must)
Confident, fast in Figma, including components, auto-layout, and organized file structure
Understanding of email design constraints (safe widths, mobile-first thinking, basic accessibility like contrast and font sizing)
A good eye for hierarchy, typography, and brand adaptation, not just "pretty," but effective
Comfortable taking creative direction and revising based on feedback
Reliable communicator, comfortable with async updates and occasional live check-ins
Bonus: experience working in an agency or pod-style team setup
Why Join Us
Clear path from part-time to full-time within a few months as we onboard more clients
Ground-floor opportunity, you'll be one of our first three hires, with real potential to grow into a lead design role as we scale toward our pod model
Varied work across multiple ecommerce brands, not stuck designing for one repetitive style
Direct access to the founder, no layers of middle management, fast feedback, fast decisions
How to Apply
This role has a firm screening process. We're looking for someone experienced, so please expect the following steps, and don't apply if you're not willing to complete them:
Step 1: Application
Send the following:
Your updated resume
A link to your existing portfolio showing real email designs made in Figma (not mockups pulled from templates, not general graphic design work, actual emails you've designed)
A short note on your experience designing for ecommerce/DTC email campaigns
Your availability (hours/week) and your expected rate
Applications without a Figma portfolio link showing real email design work will not be considered.
Step 2: Short Quiz
Shortlisted applicants will be sent a short quiz covering email design fundamentals (layout, hierarchy, mobile-first thinking, brand adaptation). This isn't a trick test, it's there to confirm you actually know the craft, not just the software.
Step 3: Paid Test Task
Final candidates will be asked to design one sample email in Figma from a brief we provide, so we can see your actual process and output before hiring. [This test task will be paid a flat fee, to be confirmed.]
We know this is a more thorough process than a typical OnlineJobs.ph posting. That's intentional, we'd rather take a bit longer to find the right person than hire fast and hire wrong.
