I'm hiring 1-2 people long-term to own short-form clipping for the podcast

A high level of English comprehension is required

THE WORK

• Hours: 30-45hrs per month
• Target volume: 30 clips per month
• Ideally using Premier Pro for editing
• Clips are 1-2min 9:16 vertical videos for social media
• New podcast episodes drop weekly. You clip from those
• We work from data. Together we review what's performing, identify patterns & double down on what's working. If a clip from Episode 20 hits (lots of views), we look at why & re-clip in that direction
• Turnaround: weekly batch delivery
• Training provided

COMPENSATION
Paid monthly depending on experience. Negotiable

BONUSES
Paid weekly
Clips that hit achieve view & engagement thresholds earn bonuses
We'll set the thresholds together once we have a baseline

Crisp cuts. Tight pacing. Dead beats removed.
Clean branded captions, consistent placement & font
Let the moment breathe when the moment deserves it.

WHAT I DON’T WANT
Flashy B-roll cutaways every few seconds
Exuberant text effects, zoom-bounce, shake, pop animations
Stock footage layered over the speaker
Sound effects, swooshes, risers, transitions that announce themselves
Anything that looks like a TikTok template
Look at how Diary of a CEO, Lex Fridman & Modern Wisdom edit their short-form. Simple. Story-led. The face, the words, the captions. That is the standard.
