As our businesses continue to grow, we are looking for a talented, creative, detail-oriented, and highly motivated Virtual Assistant to join our team.

This position is initially intended to provide maternity leave coverage for an existing team member. However, there is potential for this role to become a permanent, additional full-time position based on performance, initiative, and business needs.

We are looking for someone who can do more than complete assigned tasks. Our ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who brings fresh ideas, takes ownership of their responsibilities, and helps us improve our marketing and business operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Social Media Management & Content Creation

Create, edit, and produce engaging Instagram Reels, Facebook Reels, TikTok videos, Stories, and social media posts. Transform raw video footage and photos into captivating, professionally edited short-form content. Develop creative hooks, captions, trending content concepts, and engaging promotional materials. Schedule, publish, and manage content across Instagram, Facebook , and TikTok. Research relevant trends, trending audio, hashtags, and competitor strategies. Assist with social media growth strategies to increase followers, engagement, reach, and conversions. Monitor social media performance, analyze insights, and recommend improvements. Maintain consistent branding, messaging, and visual quality across platforms.

2. Graphic Design & Digital Marketing

Design professional promotional posters, flyers, social media graphics, product announcements, and marketing materials using Canva. Create graphics for product launches, seasonal campaigns, special promotions, and events. Develop visually appealing content that aligns with our brand identity. Assist with planning, coordinating, and launching marketing campaigns. Contribute original creative ideas to strengthen our online presence and brand awareness.

3. Shopify & E-Commerce Management

Assist with processing, monitoring, and managing Shopify orders. Create, update, and maintain product listings, descriptions, images, pricing, and product information. Update Shopify storefront content, collections, promotions, and merchandising. Assist with product launches, discount codes, and online sales campaigns. Ensure product listings are accurate, visually appealing, and optimized for search and conversions. Identify opportunities to improve the online shopping experience.

4. Website Content & Maintenance

Assist with updating and maintaining our Shopify and Squarespace websites. Create and update webpages, product information, promotional banners, and website content. Help improve website organization, navigation, visual presentation, and user experience. Apply basic SEO best practices to website content, product descriptions, and digital marketing materials. Coordinate website updates and improvements as needed.

5. Brand Ambassador & Influencer Management

Assist with coordinating and managing our product ambassador program. Communicate with ambassadors regarding campaigns, content requirements, promotions, and deadlines. Track ambassador deliverables, promotional codes, performance, and participation. Organize and monitor user-generated content (UGC). Maintain ambassador tracking spreadsheets and prepare performance reports. Help identify new opportunities for collaborations and brand exposure.

6. Administrative & Business Operations

Prepare accurate biweekly payroll reports using Excel or Google Sheets. Maintain spreadsheets, databases, tracking documents, and operational reports. Support the company's sales, marketing, and human resources activities. Assist with the creation of webpages and digital content for social media and sales channels. Support the planning, coordination, and launch of sales campaigns and promotions. Prepare reports, summaries, and analyses to support business operations and management decisions. Assist with administrative tasks, documentation, data entry, and internal coordination. Perform other related duties as assigned to support business growth and operational efficiency. Required Skills & Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with demonstrated experience in the following:

Canva – Advanced proficiency in creating professional, attractive, and brand-consistent designs. Video Editing – Strong experience using CapCut, Canva Video, Adobe Premiere Pro, or similar tools to produce engaging short-form videos. Social Media Management – Hands-on experience managing and growing Instagram, Facebook , and TikTok accounts. Shopify – Experience managing online stores, product listings, orders, collections, and promotions. Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets – Strong skills in formulas, formatting, reporting, tracking, and organizing data. Website Management – Experience with Squarespace, Shopify, or similar website platforms. Digital Marketing – Understanding of content marketing, SEO fundamentals, social media algorithms, audience engagement, and conversion optimization. Written English – Excellent written communication skills, grammar, and ability to create natural, engaging marketing copy. Experience in the pet industry, pet products, retail, or e-commerce is an advantage, but not required.
