Image Ad Creator | Ecommerce Static Ads and Swipe Research
Confidential employer
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are an ecommerce company selling health, beauty, wellness and personal care products across international markets.
We are hiring an Image Ad Creator who can handle both competitor swipe research and static ad production for Facebook and Instagram.
You should be comfortable finding relevant ads, breaking down their hooks and visual concepts, and explaining why an idea is worth testing. You will then turn that research and approved creative briefs into original image ads.
You will work closely with a Creative Strategist, revise your work based on feedback and testing results, and keep your references and final files organized.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Search the Meta Ad Library and other approved sources for relevant competitor ads.
- Study the audience problem, hook, angle, offer, visual structure and product presentation behind each reference.
- Compare research signals such as active status, run duration, repeated variations, available reach or impressions, market relevance and product fit.
- Record the source link, what makes the idea worth testing, and how you would adapt it for our product.
- Create original static ads from approved swipes and briefs, including product benefit, comparison, testimonial and offer concepts where appropriate.
- Develop variations by changing the hook, layout, imagery, copy treatment or angle while preserving the intended message.
- Use AI tools where helpful, then manually correct inaccurate product details, labels, text, hands, faces, lighting and other visible errors.
- Check the correct product, market, offer, copy, image dimensions and file quality before submitting.
- Deliver creatives within the agreed deadlines and complete revisions based on strategist and media buying feedback.
- Keep swipe references, working files and final exports easy for the team to find.
- Ask for clarification when a brief, claim or visual direction is unclear or potentially misleading.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Relevant experience producing static Meta ads for ecommerce, dropshipping or DTC brands.
- Practical experience researching competitor swipes, supported by examples of your work.
- The ability to explain a creative concept beyond saying that it looks good or has high reach.
- An understanding that active status, reach, engagement and run duration are research signals, not proof of sales or profitability.
- Strong layout, typography, visual hierarchy, readability and product presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Canva. Photoshop or Figma experience is a plus.
- Practical AI image generation or editing experience is preferred.
- Careful attention to product packaging, spelling, copy, brief requirements and final exports.
- Clear communication, reliable delivery and a professional approach to feedback.
- Full time, long term availability, including weekends when required.
Experience with health, beauty, wellness, supplements or personal care advertising is preferred.
CREATIVE ACCURACY AND COMPLIANCE
You must recognize and flag potentially risky claims or visuals, including unsupported medical claims, guaranteed results, unrealistic timelines, misleading before and after images, aggressive personal attribute language, unsupported authority claims and celebrity or television personality lookalikes.
If a reference or brief raises a concern, clarify it with the Creative Strategist before proceeding. Do not assume that a competitor ad is suitable for us simply because it is active.
HOW TO APPLY
Start your application with SWIPE and answer all 12 questions below. Use specific examples from your existing work wherever possible.
1. How many years have you created static image ads for ecommerce, dropshipping or DTC brands? What did you personally handle?
2. Which products, niches and markets have you worked with? Include any health, beauty, wellness or personal care experience.
3. Walk us through your swipe research process, from understanding the product to selecting useful competitor references. What do you search for, and how do you organize your findings?
4. How do you d ---------- whether a swipe is worth testing? If two ads have different reach figures, what else would you compare? Explain what the available signals can and cannot tell you.
5. From your existing work, share one competitor swipe and the original ad you created from it. Include both links, explain what you kept and changed, and share a verified result only if you have access to the supporting data.
6. How do you identify the core hook or angle of a swipe and adapt it without directly copying the competitor?
7. Which design and AI tools do you use, and what do you use each one for?
8. Describe one ad you created using AI. What did you generate, what did you correct manually, and how did you check the product details and final output?
9. How many quality static ad variations can you realistically complete in a normal working day, including research, editing and quality checks?
10. What claims or visuals in a health or beauty brief would make you pause and ask the strategist for clarification?
11. Share your CV and portfolio. Prioritize ecommerce static ads, swipe references and original adaptations. Make sure the links can be viewed without requesting access.
12. State your availability, weekend availability, earliest possible start date and expected monthly salary in USD.
Applications that do not follow the instructions, answer the questions or provide relevant work samples will not move forward.
Shortlisted applicants will receive a combined image ad and swipe research test task after the initial screening.
