About the Role

eWebsites is a boutique digital marketing agency based in Melbourne, Australia. We help Australian businesses attract more enquiries and clients through SEO, websites and useful, persuasive content.

We’re looking for a reliable Content Writer and Editor for a long-term, full-time remote role.

Your main focus will be editing and improving AI-assisted website content, especially service pages, location pages and other commercial content. You’ll also work on blogs and informational articles.

This role requires more than generating a draft and fixing grammar. You need to check facts, improve clarity and structure, remove generic language, understand the customer and make the copy more useful and persuasive.

WHAT YOU’LL GET
US$5–7 per hour, depending on demonstrated skills and experience.
Full-time work: 40 hours per week.
A long-term remote opportunity.
Paid AI tools, writing tools and content-optimisation tools.
Approved briefs, client information, templates, examples and documented processes.
Training in our workflows, with clear feedback to help you improve.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
Use Claude, ChatGPT, Rankability and Surfer SEO, following supplied prompts, to support drafting and editing.
Edit AI-assisted drafts into clear, natural, accurate Australian English.
Create and improve service pages, location pages, landing pages, blogs and other website content.
Research unfamiliar topics and verify claims against approved client information and reliable sources.
Improve headings, introductions, service explanations, FAQs and calls to action.
Remove repetition, filler, unsupported claims and generic AI wording.
Follow approved briefs, client tone, templates and quality checklists.
Apply feedback carefully and check revisions before resubmitting.
Keep Asana tasks updated, meet agreed deadlines and raise questions early.
Submit completed content for review with the required checks and handoff information.
You’ll start with content production and editing. As you become confident in our process, you’ll learn to improve and optimise existing website pages.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Excellent written English and strong editing judgement.
Relevant experience writing or editing website content for businesses.
The ability to turn complex information into clear, customer-focused copy.
Careful research and fact-checking skills.
Demonstrated experience using Claude, ChatGPT or similar AI tools for business website content, including writing and refining prompts, evaluating outputs and manually editing the final copy.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow a brief.
Reliable communication, deadline management and willingness to learn from feedback.
Reliable internet access and a suitable computer.
Service-page, landing-page or commercial website editing experience will be particularly useful.
Previous SEO, Surfer or Rankability experience is helpful but not required. We can teach our tools and workflows; you need to bring strong writing, editing and research skills.

HIGH ATTENTION TO DETAIL IS ESSENTIAL
Our work involves detailed briefs, client-specific requirements, documented workflows and pre-submission quality checks. You must be comfortable working carefully through these requirements on every assignment.
Before submitting, you are expected to check your work against the brief, verify factual claims, follow formatting instructions, address feedback and complete the required handoff.
We need someone who catches and corrects avoidable mistakes before review and applies feedback consistently. If instructions are unclear or contradictory, flag the specific issue early. Thoughtful questions and practical suggestions for improving the process are welcome.

You’ll be a strong fit if you:
Enjoy editing and improving content as much as writing it from scratch
Follow a detailed brief precisely rather than treating it as a rough suggestion
Check every AI-assisted draft against the source material before calling it done
Ask a specific question when something’s unclear, instead of guessing
Want a stable, long-term role and work well within structured processes and regular feedback

This role isn’t a fit if you:
Are looking for short-term freelance or project-based work
Submit AI-generated drafts largely as-is, without fact-checking or a full manual edit
Find detailed briefs, templates and QA checklists restrictive rather than helpful
Struggle to meet agreed deadlines or flag problems early
Are unwilling to follow agreed quality checks, receive regular feedback or take responsibility for correcting your work.

HOW WE WORK
The SEO team selects keywords and sets the strategy. The Content Manager provides approved briefs and reviews your work.
You own the writing, editing, verification and pre-submission checks for your assigned content. You won’t be expected to manage the content pipeline, select keywords or publish independently.
If information is missing or contradictory, ask rather than guess. Never invent client services, qualifications, results, testimonials, statistics or guarantees.

WORKING HOURS
You must be available Monday–Friday within the 12 pm–9 pm Melbourne, Australia working window, with breaks arranged to provide 40 working hours per week.
Your availability must follow Melbourne time throughout the year, including daylight-saving changes.

HOW TO APPLY
Complete both steps:
Apply through OnlineJobs.ph and start your application message with BLUE HIPPO.
Complete our application form: ----------

Include your CV and relevant writing or editing samples in the form. Service pages, landing pages and before-and-after editing examples are preferred. Explain what you personally wrote or edited and how AI was used.

We only consider applicants who complete the form and follow the application instructions.

HIRING PROCESS
Application and work-sample review.
A short 5-minute call to confirm spoken English, availability and rate.
A 15-minute interview for shortlisted candidates.
A paid writing and editing assessment for finalists.
Reference checks and final decision.

We’re looking for someone who enjoys improving content, takes accuracy seriously and wants to become a dependable member of our team.
