About the Role

I'm the founder of Flourish with Dr Lolu, and I'm looking for a reliable, detail-minded virtual assistant to keep the business running smoothly while I focus on my clients. This is an ongoing role of about 5 to 10 hours a week, with potential to grow as we build a strong working relationship.

About Flourish
Flourish with Dr Lolu offers doctor-led, one-to-one lifestyle coaching for midlife women in the UK and Nigeria, looking after health in spirit, soul, mind and body. It is run by Dr Lolu Ogunniyi, a practising UK GP and lifestyle medicine physician. The brand is warm, credible and faith-grounded, and most clients find us through WhatsApp, a weekly newsletter and personal recommendation

Role
Virtual Assistant, Flourish with Dr Lolu
Hours
About 5 to 10 hours a week, with potential to grow
Working days
You must be available Thursday, Friday and Saturday, which are my working days for the business. That includes at least 8:00am to 12 noon UK time on each of those days for real-time messages and calls.
Rate
$5.00 USD an hour
Probation
90 days, starting with a 2-week paid trial
The rest of your hours can be arranged around your own schedule, as long as every deadline below is met.
What you will do
Every week:
Load the weekly newsletter into Mailchimp from my draft in Google Drive, send me a test, and schedule it once I approve
Ready for my approval by Saturday
Schedule my LinkedIn post from my draft
Design a WhatsApp Status card for each newsletter in Canva, from my wording
Add captions to my short videos, then post them to Instagram, and repurpose newsletter content for Instagram

End-of-day update on each working day: what you did, any problems, what you need from me, what's next

Project work (as it comes up)

  • Website (Squarespace): page edits, fixes, new pages, and a refresh of the look and feel to a brief.
  • Client materials in Canva: a welcome pack, a session summary template, a closing review, a branded intake questionnaire and a Christmas gift voucher, all from my wording.
  • Simple admin: booking pages, payment links, keeping shared folders tidy, and light research.
  • Landing pages and funnels: building landing pages in Squarespace for offers, events and free resources, and connecting them to Mailchimp sign-up forms, tags and automated email sequences that lead to a booking. Testing every step yourself before it goes live.

What matters most in this role
I write detailed briefs so that you can work independently. The person I'm looking for reads every brief fully and follows it exactly.
1. Read the whole brief before you start, and follow the details: names, dates, links and wording. If something is unclear, ask, with all your questions in one message.
2. Check your own work before you send it. Read it against the brief once more. I should be approving work, not correcting it.
3. Nothing goes public without my sign-off. That includes newsletters, posts, website changes and anything a client might see. Send me a test or a preview first, every time.
4. Be reliable. Meet the deadlines you agree to. If you can't, tell me before the deadline, not after it.
5. Don't disappear. If you're stuck, unsure or behind, tell me. I'd always rather hear "I'm stuck" than nothing.
6. Keep everything confidential. You will see business accounts and some client details. None of it leaves this working relationship. You won't have access to client health conversations, and you must never contact clients, offer places or change bookings unless I've asked you to.
You're a great fit if you

  • Have hands-on experience with Mailchimp, Canva and Squarespace, and with scheduling content on Instagram and LinkedIn. Show me examples.
  • Are comfortable with Google Workspace (Drive, Docs, Calendar). Experience with Stripe payment links or adding captions to short videos is a plus.
  • Write in a warm, professional voice in UK English, and can follow a house style exactly.
  • Are organised and dependable, and communicate clearly without being chased.
  • Notice things: you flag a broken link, a wrong date or a better way of doing something before I spot it.
  • Have supported a coach, consultant, health professional or personal brand. This is a plus, not essential.
  • Have built a landing page and an email funnel before (sign-up form, tagging, automated sequence), and can show me one.

To apply
Please include:
1. A brief intro: who you are, and why this role suits you.
2. Your experience with Mailchimp, Canva, Squarespace, Instagram and LinkedIn specifically.
3. One or two examples of work you've done for a client: an email , a post, a design or a web page.
4. Confirmation that you're available on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, including 8:00am to 12 noon UK time.
Please start your application with the words "Flourish on Thursdays", so I know you've read this far.
If you're the kind of person who flags things before I notice them, we'll get along well. I look forward to hearing from you.
