Job Description
We're an Australian property investment business growing our social media presence and media visibility. We're looking for a proactive Social Media & Content Specialist to manage our Facebook communities, keep our content calendar running, and help tell our story across social, PR, and our website. This starts part-time with room to grow into full-time.

What you'll be doing

  • Creating and scheduling content across our Facebook groups
  • Moderating comments and managing join requests daily across 15+ Facebook groups
  • Actively engaging in groups — replying to comments, sparking conversation, welcoming new members
  • Flagging spam or anything needing moderator attention
  • Writing copy for social posts, PR pieces, and our website
  • Spotting newsworthy story angles from team updates, deals, and milestones, then turning them into publication-ready articles or press releases
  • Running our Charlie Property Newsroom/magazine
  • Tracking engagement trends and reporting what's working

What we're looking for

  • Naturally fluent in Australian English — written and spoken
  • In-depth understanding of Facebook /Meta — posting from pages into groups, group settings, scheduling tools
  • Strong, natural writing — no fluff, no robotic tone
  • Comfortable turning raw info into a clear, compelling story (PR/journalism background a plus)
  • Self-starter who spots opportunities rather than waiting to be told
  • Reliable with daily check-ins — this is not a once-a-week task
  • Property, finance, or business news familiarity is a bonus

Hours & schedule

  • Part-time (4-5 hours/day); 5 days/week to start, with the opportunity to grow toward full-time.
  • Fixed scheduled; starts 8am Melbourne Time

How to apply — mandatory requirements

  • A 2–3 minute Loom video is required for every applicant — no exceptions. Introduce yourself and walk through why you're a fit. Please do not read from a script.

Also include:

  • 2–3 writing samples (press releases, articles, or social copy)
  • An example of a Facebook group/page where you've driven engagement

Shortlisted applicants will complete a paid trial task.
