Schedule: Approximately 40 hours/week (option to start part-time).

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

We're building a U.S.-based strategic AI systems consulting business that helps small and midsize businesses simplify operations, standardize processes, and implement effective systems and automation.

We're looking for an experienced, entrepreneurial Integrator / General Manager to help build and operate the company alongside its founder.

This is not a traditional operations management position where you inherit an established team, documented processes, and a fully functioning organization.

You'll help build those things.

The founder is a Visionary who brings strategy, innovation, opportunities, and big-picture thinking. We need a complementary Integrator who brings structure, focus, and consistent execution.

Your mission is to help turn an ambitious vision into a focused, repeatable, profitable business that can eventually operate without the founder's daily involvement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Business Operations & Execution

  • Build and manage the company's day-to-day operations.
  • Translate strategic goals into clear priorities, projects, deadlines, and measurable results.
  • Develop, document, and implement repeatable business processes.
  • Establish effective systems for managing projects, responsibilities, and accountability.
  • Identify operational bottlenecks and eliminate inefficiencies.
  • Create and manage weekly company Scorecards, quarterly Rocks, and Level 10 Meetings.
  • Use structured problem-solving methods to resolve issues.
  • Maintain consistent execution while protecting the team from unnecessary changes in direction.
  • Gradually eliminate the founder's involvement in routine operational decisions.

2. Financial Management & Profitability

  • Help develop a commercially viable, scalable business model.
  • Build financial models, forecasts, and operating budgets.
  • Understand and improve revenue, profit margins, cash flow, and unit economics.
  • Identify opportunities to increase revenue and reduce unnecessary costs.
  • Evaluate business ideas based on profitability, feasibility, and strategic alignment.
  • Establish measurable financial and operational KPIs.
  • Make decisions using data rather than assumptions.

3. Leadership & Team Building

  • Identify which roles and capabilities the business needs.
  • Build the organizational structure and Accountability Chart.
  • Recruit, hire, onboard, and manage team members as the business grows.
  • Delegate responsibilities and establish clear ownership.
  • Develop department leaders and hold them accountable for results.
  • Resolve personnel and cross-department issues.
  • Build a disciplined, capable, and cohesive team.

4. Strategic Partnership With the Founder

  • Work directly with the founder to establish company priorities, objectives, and strategic direction.
  • Help determine which opportunities deserve attention and which should be postponed or rejected.
  • Translate broad ideas into practical plans and actionable requirements.
  • Provide objective feedback, identify risks, and challenge assumptions.
  • Take ownership of HOW the business operates while the founder focuses primarily on vision, innovation, and strategic relationships.
  • Act as a trusted operational counterpart, not merely an assistant or task coordinator.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Essential Qualifications:

  • Proven experience managing business operations, preferably in an agency, consulting firm, technology company, or professional services business.
  • Demonstrated ability to build processes, systems, or teams from an early stage.
  • Strong financial and commercial understanding.
  • Experience managing projects, priorities, and operational accountability.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Strong independent decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
  • Comfortable working directly with a founder in an evolving business.
  • Able to work independently without constant supervision.

Personal Characteristics:

  • Highly organized, disciplined, and dependable.
  • Naturally focused on execution and measurable outcomes.
  • Comfortable creating order from ambiguity.
  • Willing to challenge ideas respectfully and constructively.
  • Capable of making difficult decisions.
  • Calm under pressure and realistic about available resources.
  • Proactive, resourceful, and accountable.
  • More interested in building a successful company than receiving personal recognition.

Preferred Experience:

  • Previously served as an Operations Manager, General Manager, COO, Integrator, or similar operational leader.
  • Built or scaled a small business.
  • Experience implementing EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) or comparable business management frameworks.
  • Familiarity with AI tools, CRM systems, workflow automation, and business process improvement.
  • Demonstrated improvements in revenue, profitability, operational efficiency, or team performance.

WHAT MAKES THIS ROLE DIFFERENT

This is an early-stage leadership opportunity.

You'll work directly with the founder and help shape the business from the ground up.

You'll have meaningful input into strategy, organizational design, systems, hiring, and daily operations.

We're not looking for someone who needs an established business to manage. We're looking for someone who knows how to help build one.

We're also not looking for a virtual assistant or project coordinator who simply follows the founder's latest instructions.

We need someone who can think independently, challenge ideas, establish priorities, make decisions, and take ownership of results.

COMPENSATION & LONG-TERM OPPORTUNITY

The position will begin part-time, with base compensation and an agreed performance-based profit-sharing arrangement.

Our intention is to reward meaningful contributions to the company's growth and profitability.

As the business develops, the goal is to transition the position toward stable fixed compensation with performance bonuses and potentially full-time leadership responsibilities.

Compensation, profit-sharing calculations, performance expectations, and review periods will be agreed upon in writing before work begins.

This position does not automatically include company equity.

HOW TO APPLY

Please answer the following questions in your application:

1. Relevant Experience:
Have you ever helped build or scale a business? What was your role, and what measurable results did you achieve?

2. Operational Systems:
Describe a business process or operating system you personally built or improved.

3. Financial Performance:
Give a specific example of how you increased revenue, improved profitability, or reduced operating costs.

4. Founder Partnership:
How would you handle a founder who generates many new ideas and frequently wants to change priorities?

5. First 90 Days:
Imagine joining a small AI consulting business with limited revenue, no current employees, and few established processes. What would your first 90 days look like?

6. Availability:
How many hours per week can you commit initially, and what are your compensation expectations?

Please provide specific examples and measurable results wherever possible.

We're looking for someone who has demonstrated the ability to build, lead, prioritize, execute, and improve business performance - not simply someone with an impressive job title.
