Hiring: YouTube SEO & Video Content Specialist
Confidential employer
We’re looking for a creative, experienced YouTube specialist who can produce engaging videos, improve search visibility, analyze performance, and identify opportunities to strengthen our existing content.
You should understand both the creative and technical sides of YouTube—from Canva editing and voiceovers ( eleven labs ) to keyword research, titles, thumbnails, analytics, and ongoing optimization.
MUST have 5-8 years experience
Responsibilities:
YouTube SEO: Research relevant keywords, audience questions, competitor videos, and search intent to guide content creation.
Titles and descriptions: Write compelling, accurate titles and optimized descriptions that help the right audience find and watch our videos.
Video editing in Canva: Create and edit videos with strong openings, clear pacing, captions, graphics, transitions, and consistent branding.
Voiceovers: Create or coordinate natural, professional voiceovers, ensuring correct pronunciation, clear audio, and proper timing.
Creative development: Suggest video topics, hooks, thumbnail concepts, and formats that make educational content engaging.
Channel optimization: Organize playlists and use relevant end screens, cards, and calls to action to support the viewer experience.
Analytics and tracking: Monitor impressions, click-through rates, watch time, audience retention, traffic sources, subscriber growth, and search performance.
Website traffic tracking: Use consistently tagged links, where appropriate, to help measure visits and actions generated by YouTube.
Reporting: Provide clear performance updates explaining what is working, what needs improvement, and what changes you recommend.
Review and Improve Existing Videos:
We need someone who notices problems and takes initiative. You will review current videos for editing mistakes, spelling errors, audio issues, weak introductions, outdated information, inconsistent branding, and missed SEO opportunities.
You should be able to fix editable elements and revise source files when needed. When a correction requires replacing or uploading a video again, you will explain the issue and coordinate the next steps with your manager. Changes to factual or clinical information must go through the appropriate company reviewer.
Reporting Structure and Teamwork:
You will report to an internal company team member who manages the workflow, priorities, deadlines, and approvals. That person may have less specialized YouTube experience than you.
We expect you to bring technical expertise while respecting their responsibility to manage the work. You must be comfortable explaining recommendations clearly, accepting feedback, following established processes, and completing assigned revisions.
Your manager will coordinate delivery; you will be expected to contribute the YouTube knowledge and execution needed to produce strong results. Sharing practical knowledge and helping improve our standard operating procedures are also part of the role.
What We’re Looking For:
Demonstrated experience managing and optimizing YouTube content.
Strong Canva video editing and thumbnail design skills.
Experience producing or coordinating voiceovers.
A practical understanding of YouTube SEO and audience growth.
Ability to interpret YouTube Studio analytics and turn findings into specific improvements.
Strong writing, creativity, attention to detail, and quality control.
Reliable communication and the ability to meet deadlines.
Willingness to work within a managed workflow while proactively recommending improvements.
An understanding that rankings and growth require testing and ongoing improvement; results cannot be guaranteed.
Experience with healthcare, behavioral health, or educational content is a plus.
