U.S. Expat Tax Client Support Specialist – Remote

We are an international tax and advisory firm looking for a highly professional Client Support Specialist to join our U.S. tax services team.

Our U.S. office specializes in assisting American citizens living abroad with their U.S. tax obligations. We are looking for someone who communicates exceptionally well in English and can provide professional, organized, and friendly support to our international clients.

This is not a call center or high-volume BPO position. You will work directly with clients and our tax team, helping coordinate cases, documents, appointments, and ongoing communication.

Responsibilities

• Communicate professionally with U.S. clients by email , phone, and video calls
• Follow up with clients regarding tax documents and pending information
• Coordinate client cases with our CPAs and tax professionals
• Schedule consultations and follow up with prospective clients
• Explain our services and guide clients through the next steps
• Maintain accurate client records and case updates
• Write clear, professional email s in American English
• Assist with general administrative and client-service tasks

Requirements

• Excellent English, both written and spoken
• Strong professional writing skills in American English
• Previous experience in customer service, client relations, or administrative support
• Experience working for a U.S. tax firm, accounting firm, CPA firm, financial services company, or professional services firm is strongly preferred
• Comfortable communicating directly with American clients
• Professional and confident on phone and video calls
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Able to handle confidential client information professionally
• Reliable and interested in a long-term position

Knowledge of U.S. taxation is an advantage, particularly experience with expat tax matters, Form 1040, FBAR, FATCA, or working with Americans living overseas. However, you do not need to be a tax preparer or CPA.

Who We Are Looking For

We are especially interested in candidates who have worked in tax, accounting, legal, banking, financial services, or other professional client-service environments.

We are not looking for candidates whose experience is primarily scripted call-center, technical support, or high-volume BPO work. This position requires polished written communication, attention to detail, and the ability to build professional relationships with clients.
