Full-Time YouTube Video Editor -Character Animation

Full-Time YouTube Video Editor – Sleep Channel | Character Animation | $600/Month

Hey!

I’m looking for a reliable video editor for a long-term, full-time position on my YouTube sleep channel.

You’ll edit 3 videos per week, each over one hour long. The salary is $600 per month.

The video format

The videos will feature a character on the left side of the screen, with relevant clips, images, or other visuals on the right.

You must be able to create slow, subtle character animations—not simply place a static character next to footage. Movements such as gentle blinking, slight head movements, and relaxed gestures should feel natural and calming. Animation loops are welcome, provided they are seamless and do not look distracting or noticeably repetitive.

The character and footage should work together in a clean, consistent layout, with visuals that match the narration.

Your responsibilities

• Edit 3 videos per week, each over one hour long.
• Animate the character with slow, subtle movements.
• Source suitable clips, photos, background music, and other visual assets that we have permission to use.
• Choose visuals that accurately support the script.
• Maintain consistent pacing, audio levels, and visual style throughout each video.
• Apply feedback and meet agreed deadlines.

I will provide the script. You won’t need to research or write the topic, but you must understand the narration well enough to select appropriate footage.

The style

These videos should create a calm, relaxing experience that helps viewers fall asleep:

• Slow-paced visuals and smooth transitions.
• Gentle character movements.
• Soft, consistent audio and subtle background music.
• No sudden cuts, loud sounds, flashing visuals, or distracting effects.

Who I’m looking for

• Experience editing YouTube videos, ideally sleep, relaxation, or long-form educational content.
• The ability to create simple 2D character animation is essential.
• Proficiency in Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, or comparable editing and animation software.
• Strong English comprehension.
• Good communication, attention to detail, and the ability to follow feedback.
• Full-time availability and the capacity to deliver consistently.

How to apply

Start your proposal with your favorite animal so I know you’ve read the full post.

Please include:

1. Relevant editing samples, especially sleep or long-form videos.
2. At least one example of character animation you personally created, with a brief explanation of your contribution.
3. The software you use for editing and animation.
4. Confirmation that you’re comfortable with $600 per month for 3 videos per week, each over one hour long.
5. Your availability and earliest start date.

I’m looking for someone who can become a dependable, long-term part of the channel. I look forward to seeing your work!
