Job Title: Senior Business Funding Specialist – Business Credit Cards, Funding Strategy & Credit Optimization

Company: Credit Secrets Unlock / Sterling Consultations
Job Type: Full-Time
Work Arrangement: Remote
Experience Level: Experienced Specialist
Location: Philippines (Remote)

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Business Funding Specialist with in-depth knowledge of business credit cards, unsecured business funding, bank underwriting criteria, credit profile optimization, and funding application sequencing.

The ideal candidate understands how banks evaluate business owners for credit approvals and higher credit limits. You must be able to analyze personal and business credit profiles, identify weaknesses that could affect approval odds, and develop a strategic funding plan based on the applicant’s financial profile and lender requirements.

We are looking for a strategic thinker who understands the entire funding process — from credit preparation and lender research to application sequencing, approval tracking, and ongoing credit management.

This is not an entry-level data-entry position. We need someone with real-world business funding experience who can explain the reasoning behind their recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Credit Card Applications & Funding Strategy

  • Develop strategic funding plans for entrepreneurs and business owners seeking business credit cards and unsecured business funding.
  • Research banks and financial institutions offering business credit cards, business lines of credit, and other legitimate funding products.
  • Understand lender-specific underwriting criteria, including credit score requirements, credit history, utilization, inquiries, existing debt, income, and business financials.
  • Determine which lenders may be an appropriate fit for a client's profile.
  • Develop funding application sequences based on lender criteria, application rules, eligibility, and the client's overall funding objectives.
  • Understand application timing, inquiry sensitivity, velocity restrictions, and potential impacts on approval odds.
  • Track application results, approval amounts, credit limits, denials, and reconsideration opportunities.
  • Help identify potential paths toward maximizing legitimate funding opportunities while minimizing unnecessary hard inquiries.

2. Credit Profile Analysis & Optimization

  • Review personal credit reports from Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion.
  • Analyze credit scores, revolving utilization, payment history, derogatory accounts, inquiries, account age, and credit mix.
  • Understand how personal credit profiles may affect business credit card approvals and personal guarantees.
  • Identify issues that may need to be addressed before submitting funding applications.
  • Develop credit optimization strategies based on each client's individual circumstances.
  • Understand the relationship between personal credit, business credit, and lender approval decisions.
  • Recommend appropriate steps to improve creditworthiness before funding applications.

3. Credit Repair Knowledge & Credit Management

  • Understand credit reporting, the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), and the legitimate dispute process.
  • Identify potentially inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or unverifiable credit report information that may warrant investigation or dispute.
  • Understand credit utilization management, payment history, account management, and responsible revolving credit usage.
  • Help develop action plans for addressing legitimate credit reporting issues.

  • Understand how to manage existing credit accounts and maintain a strong credit profile before and after funding.
  • Recognize when a client should prioritize credit improvement rather than immediately applying for additional credit.

4. Business Credit & Financial Profile Evaluation

  • Understand business credit fundamentals and the differences between personal and business credit.
  • Evaluate business age, entity information, revenue, cash flow, existing business obligations, and other factors relevant to lender eligibility.
  • Understand how banks may evaluate sole proprietors, LLCs, and corporations.
  • Research business credit reporting agencies and business credit-building strategies.
  • Understand the role of EINs, personal guarantees, business bank accounts, and financial documentation in funding applications.
  • Identify legitimate funding options appropriate for different business profiles.

5. Funding Research, Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain an updated database of bank underwriting guidelines, application requirements, and funding products.
  • Track lender policies, application restrictions, and changes to approval requirements.
  • Prepare client-specific funding roadmaps and application checklists.
  • Maintain organized records of applications, approvals, denials, credit limits, and follow-up actions.
  • Create standard operating procedures (SOPs) for funding preparation, application sequencing, and client onboarding.
  • Provide weekly reports on application performance, approval rates, and total approved funding.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience in business credit card applications and business funding strategy.
  • Strong understanding of bank underwriting criteria and lender approval requirements.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of business credit cards, unsecured business funding, and business lines of credit.
  • Practical experience developing funding application sequences.
  • Strong understanding of personal credit reports, FICO scoring factors, utilization, inquiries, and credit profile optimization.
  • Working knowledge of credit repair, credit reporting, and applicable consumer protection laws.
  • Ability to research lender requirements and distinguish verified policies from speculation.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to explain funding recommendations and the reasoning behind them.
  • Proficiency with Google Sheets, spreadsheets, CRM systems, and online research tools.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with U.S. banks and financial institutions.
  • Experience helping U.S. entrepreneurs obtain business credit cards or unsecured business funding.
  • Familiarity with major U.S. credit card issuers and their business application requirements.
  • Experience creating funding roadmaps, lender comparison sheets, and application tracking systems.
  • Familiarity with FICO scoring models, business credit bureaus, and credit monitoring platforms.
  • Experience in a credit repair, business funding, lending, or financial consulting company.

Performance Expectations

The successful candidate will be evaluated on:

  • Quality and accuracy of credit profile analyses.
  • Quality of lender research and funding recommendations.
  • Accuracy and usefulness of application sequencing plans.
  • Organization and completeness of client funding files.
  • Timeliness of application tracking and reporting.
  • Ability to identify and communicate potential approval obstacles.
  • Compliance with applicable laws, lender terms, and client authorization requirements.

Important: We value sound underwriting analysis and responsible funding strategies over simply submitting as many applications as possible. Approval amounts and outcomes are never guaranteed.

How to Apply

Please include the following in your application:

1. A summary of your experience in business credit cards and business funding.
2. The U.S. banks and financial institutions you have experience researching or working with.
3. Your experience analyzing personal credit profiles and business credit eligibility.
4. An explanation of how you approach funding application sequencing and lender selection.
5. An example of a funding roadmap or lender comparison sheet you have created, with all client-identifying and confidential information removed.
6. Your expected monthly salary in USD.
7. Your availability and preferred working hours.

We are looking for someone who brings expertise, strategic thinking, attention to detail, and a genuine understanding of how business funding works.
