About the Role

Rebel Meat Co | Australian Meat Delivery Business

Rebel Meat Co is a growing Australian meat delivery business seeking an experienced inbound sales VA to turn online enquiries into paid orders and build lasting customer relationships.

You’ll manage conversations primarily through Facebook Messenger—from the first enquiry through to product selection, invoicing and follow-up.

The role

  • Understand customers’ needs, recommend suitable products and confidently guide enquiries through to paid orders.
  • Clearly explain products, wholesale carton sizes, variable weights, pricing and delivery.
  • Follow up leads and unpaid invoices without being pushy.
  • Prepare accurate invoices and maintain customer and order records.
  • Build rapport online and deliver excellent customer service.
  • Take ownership of enquiries, anticipate questions and follow through, escalating issues when needed.

What we’re looking for

  • Proven inbound sales experience, including handling enquiries, following up leads and closing sales, ideally through written chat.
  • A strong understanding of the sales process and how to address customer questions and objections.
  • Excellent written English and comprehension—you can understand informal Australian messages, pick up nuance and respond naturally.
  • Good judgement and the ability to handle varied enquiries without relying entirely on scripts.
  • A customer-focused, sales-driven approach and a willingness to go above and beyond.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail when handling prices, orders and invoices.
  • Reliable internet and place to work from home

Previous experience serving Australian customers is strongly preferred.

What we offer

USD $4-5 per hour, paid weekly.

  • A supportive environment, with training on our systems and processes.
  • An opportunity to grow with the business and take on greater responsibility.
  • Flexibility around an agreed working schedule, with give and take on both sides during busy periods.
  • Approximately 2–4 hours of work across the weekend, paid at your hourly rate, with timing agreed in advance.

To apply

Please describe your inbound sales experience, the channels you’ve sold through, your experience with Australian customers and any invoicing systems you’ve used. Include your availability for weekday and weekend work.

Shortlisted applicants will complete a practical assessment involving customer enquiries and a simple invoicing task.

How to apply

Please answer these questions in your application:

Describe your most recent inbound sales role. What did you sell, through which channels, and were you personally responsible for closing sales?

Have you served Australian customers? If so, describe your experience.

Which invoicing systems have you used?

Confirm your availability, including 2–4 paid hours across the weekend, and acceptance of USD $5–$6 per hour, paid weekly.

Write the reply you would send to this customer:

“I’m interested in your scotch fillet, but a whole carton is a lot of money. Can I buy a smaller amount? How does delivery work?”

For this exercise, assume we sell whole cartons only and offer free delivery throughout Melbourne. Your reply should answer their questions and move the conversation towards an order.

Applications must answer all five questions to be considered.

(Any applicants contacting us directly will be immediately disqualified)
