Job Description:

We are a US telehealth practice providing primary care and psychiatry to patients in New York. Most of our patients are seniors. We need a VA who is warm and confident on the phone and genuinely patient with older people.

You will be on calls most of the day. If you don't enjoy talking to people, this isn't the role.

What you'll do:

Call patients to schedule telehealth visits with our doctors
Book, reschedule, and cancel appointments in Athenahealth (we will train you)
Call patients before their visit to check them in, confirm their info and walk them through joining the video call
Patiently guide patients who struggle with technology. Many are 70+ and need to be walked through it slowly, one step at a time.
Confirm next-day appointments and follow up on no-shows
Update patient information in the system and document every call

Requirements:

Clear, easy-to-understand English, an 80-year-old American must be able to follow you without asking you to repeat
Real patience. Some calls take 15 minutes. That's normal.
Willing to sign a confidentiality agreement and complete HIPAA training
Reliable internet (25 Mbps minimum), backup internet, noise-cancelling headset, quiet workspace
Backup power
Committed to working US Eastern night shift long-term

Preferred but not required:

Any healthcare, medical VA, or call center background
EMR experience (Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, Kareo, etc.)

What we offer:

Full training on our systems, no medical background required if you're a strong communicator
Long-term, stable role with a growing US practice
Pay review at 90 days based on performance

Then send:

A short paragraph about your phone/customer service experience
A 60-second video recording of yourself and your experience in the medical field
A screenshot of your internet speed test

No recording, no review.
