Chief Technology Officer (CTO)
Confidential employer
Collings is looking for a hands-on Chief Technology Officer to lead the development of our technology products and guide our internal web development team.
Our product portfolio includes Collings CRM, our property portal, Doma and our self-managed CRM products. We need someone who can turn our vision into a clear technical roadmap, prioritise the work that matters and take products from development through to reliable, scalable platforms.
This role combines technical leadership, product delivery and team management. You’ll work closely with our leadership team and developers, providing clear direction while remaining involved in architecture, technical decisions and solving complex problems.
What you’ll be responsible for
Own the technical roadmap: Translate business goals into clear priorities, development milestones and achievable release plans across our products.
Lead our internal development team: Collaborate with developers, assign and oversee tasks, remove blockers and hold the team accountable for quality and delivery.
Drive product development: Deliver new features, improve existing functionality and ensure our products solve practical problems for agents, property owners and customers.
Set the technical direction: Oversee architecture, databases, infrastructure and integrations so our platforms can grow sustainably.
Maintain quality and reliability: Establish strong practices for code reviews, testing, documentation, deployment and ongoing maintenance.
Oversee integrations and automation: Guide API integrations, data flows and AI-powered functionality across our products.
Protect our systems and data: Take ownership of security, access controls, backups and platform resilience.
Connect business and technology: Explain technical decisions clearly, manage competing priorities and keep stakeholders informed of progress, risks and timelines.
What we’re looking for
Experience as a CTO, Head of Engineering, Technical Lead or senior engineering leader with responsibility for product delivery.
A strong hands-on background in full-stack development, SaaS platforms, APIs and database architecture.
Proven experience leading developers and managing multiple products or development streams.
The ability to assess an existing codebase, identify weaknesses and implement practical improvements.
Strong judgement around what to build, what to improve and where to focus development resources.
Experience with cloud infrastructure, security, deployment processes and scalable systems.
Clear communication, strong organisation and a willingness to take ownership from planning through to release.
Experience with CRM systems, property technology, workflow automation or AI integrations would be highly regarded.
Why join Collings?
You’ll have a direct role in shaping a growing technology portfolio, with access to the people who use our products and the leadership team setting the vision.
This is an opportunity to influence both what we build and how we build it, develop the capabilities of our internal team and see your work put into practice across the business.
