About the Role

YouTube Virtual Assistant / YouTube Growth Specialist

About the Channel

I'm looking for a reliable, proactive and ambitious YouTube Virtual Assistant / YouTube Growth Specialist to help manage and grow my YouTube channel, Rexy Breaks It Down.

The channel focuses on fascinating topics surrounding wealth, luxury, billionaires, powerful families, secret societies, ultra-rich lifestyles and other high-interest subjects.

Our content primarily follows a "7 Levels" format, breaking down a topic from the lowest level to the most extreme.

I'm looking for someone who doesn't just want to complete tasks, but wants to actively contribute to the growth and success of the channel.

The Role

This is more than a simple video uploading position.

I am looking for someone who can help manage the channel, monitor performance, identify opportunities and actively suggest improvements.

You should think like a YouTube Growth Specialist.

The goal is to find someone who can eventually become an important part of the channel and grow together with the business.

---

Main Responsibilities

1. Uploading & Publishing Videos

You will be responsible for making sure videos are consistently uploaded and published correctly and on time.

The channel currently aims to publish approximately:

**3 videos per week**

Your responsibilities include:

  • Uploading videos to YouTube
  • Scheduling videos correctly
  • Making sure videos are published on time
  • Uploading the correct thumbnail
  • Adding titles and descriptions
  • Optimizing metadata and relevant keywords
  • Selecting the correct playlists
  • Adding end screens and cards where appropriate
  • Checking subtitles or captions when available
  • Checking monetization and video settings
  • Performing a final quality check before publishing

Reliability is extremely important. Videos should always be uploaded and scheduled correctly.

---

2. Video Optimization

Every video should be properly optimized to give it the best possible chance of performing well.

This includes:

  • Reviewing and optimizing video titles
  • Reviewing titles for clickability and audience appeal
  • Optimizing descriptions and metadata
  • Reviewing thumbnails before publishing
  • Making sure the title and thumbnail work well together
  • Identifying opportunities to improve video packaging
  • Suggesting alternative titles when necessary
  • Suggesting thumbnail improvements
  • Optimizing videos after publishing when opportunities are identified

I don't want someone who simply uploads the files and moves on.

I want someone who actively thinks about:

"How can we give this video the best possible chance to perform?"

---

3. Channel Monitoring & Analytics

You will regularly monitor the performance of the channel and individual videos.

Important metrics include:

  • CTR (Click-Through Rate)
  • Impressions
  • Views
  • Average view duration
  • Audience retention
  • Watch time
  • Subscriber growth
  • Traffic sources
  • Overall video performance

You should actively look for patterns and opportunities.

For example:

  • Why is one video performing better than another?
  • Which titles are generating the highest CTR?
  • Which thumbnails are working?
  • Which topics are performing best?
  • Which videos are underperforming?
  • Where are viewers dropping off?
  • What can we improve?

You don't need to simply report the numbers.

I want you to analyze what is happening and make recommendations.

---

4. Improving Underperforming Videos

Part of your role will be identifying videos that are not performing as well as expected.

When appropriate, you should suggest improvements such as:

  • Better titles
  • Alternative titles
  • Thumbnail changes
  • Improved packaging
  • Metadata improvements
  • Other optimization opportunities

The goal is to continuously improve the channel rather than simply uploading a video and forgetting about it.

---

5. Topic Research

Topic research will be an important part of your role.

You will help research and identify:

  • New video topics with strong potential
  • Topics with proven audience demand
  • Trending topics within our niche
  • Successful competitor videos
  • Topics that are currently gaining momentum
  • Opportunities that fit the Rexy Breaks It Down format

I prefer research based on actual YouTube performance and evidence, rather than simply brainstorming random ideas.

For example:

  • What similar videos are currently getting views?
  • What topics have recently performed well?
  • Which competitors are growing?
  • Which subjects have proven audience demand?
  • What titles are working?
  • Are there successful ideas that can be adapted to our format?

You should regularly bring researched topic ideas and opportunities to me.

---

6. Competitor & Trend Research

You will also monitor relevant competitors and trends.

This includes:

  • Following relevant YouTube channels
  • Monitoring what competitors are uploading
  • Identifying successful videos and topics
  • Analyzing titles and thumbnails
  • Looking for emerging trends
  • Identifying opportunities before they become oversaturated
  • Finding successful formats that could inspire new content

The goal is not to copy other channels.

The goal is to understand what audiences are currently interested in and identify opportunities that make sense for Rexy Breaks It Down.

---

7. Proactive Channel Growth

This is one of the most important parts of the position.

I am not looking for someone who simply waits for instructions.

I want someone who takes initiative.

If you notice an opportunity, problem or potential improvement, I want you to bring it to my attention.

Ideally, your communication should look something like this:

"I noticed this video is underperforming compared to similar videos. I believe the main reason could be the title and thumbnail. Here are three improvements I recommend."

I want someone who actively:

  • Looks for opportunities
  • Analyzes performance
  • Identifies problems
  • Suggests solutions
  • Brings new ideas
  • Monitors competitors
  • Researches new opportunities
  • Helps improve the overall channel strategy

Think like a YouTube Growth Specialist, not simply an uploader.

---

Working Hours

The position will initially start at approximately:

**5 hours per week**

The workload will initially focus on:

  • Approximately 3 video uploads per week
  • Upload optimization
  • Channel monitoring
  • Basic performance analysis
  • Improvement suggestions
  • Topic and competitor research

However, the channel is growing and we are planning to expand the content production significantly.

Therefore, there is strong potential for the number of hours and responsibilities to increase quickly.

The ideal candidate should be interested in a long-term collaboration and preferably have the availability to take on additional hours as the channel grows.

---

What I'm Looking For

The ideal candidate:

  • Has experience working with YouTube channels
  • Understands YouTube Studio and Analytics
  • Understands CTR and audience retention
  • Understands what makes titles clickable
  • Understands thumbnails and video packaging
  • Has experience with YouTube optimization
  • Can conduct topic and competitor research
  • Is proactive and independent
  • Pays close attention to detail
  • Is reliable and organized
  • Can consistently meet deadlines
  • Communicates clearly in English
  • Is interested in YouTube growth and content strategy

Experience with tools such as the following is a plus:

  • vidIQ
  • TubeBuddy
  • Nexlev
  • YouTube Analytics
  • Other YouTube research or optimization tools

---

Long-Term Opportunity

This position is intended to become a long-term collaboration for the right person.

We are currently starting with approximately 5 hours per week, but the channel is expanding quickly and the workload is expected to increase.

The right candidate will have the opportunity to take on more responsibility and potentially become a larger part of the channel's operations.

As the channel grows, the role may expand into:

  • More channel management
  • More uploads
  • Advanced analytics
  • Growth strategy
  • Topic research
  • Competitor analysis
  • Content strategy
  • Channel optimization

I want to find someone who can grow together with the channel.

---

When Applying, Please Include

Please answer the following:

1. Tell me about your experience managing YouTube channels.
2. Have you worked with channels similar to this before?
3. Please share examples of channels you have worked on, if possible.
4. What experience do you have with YouTube Analytics?
5. How do you analyze CTR and audience retention?
6. What experience do you have with optimizing titles and thumbnails?
7. How do you normally research new YouTube video topics?
8. Which tools do you use for YouTube research and optimization?
9. How would you identify opportunities to grow a YouTube channel?
10. Are you available to take on more hours as the channel grows?
11. What is your hourly rate?

Important Question

If you were hired today, what would be the first three things you would analyze or improve on a YouTube channel?

I'm looking forward to finding someone proactive, reliable and ambitious who wants to help grow Rexy Breaks It Down into a much larger channel.
