Part-Time Content Researcher & Scriptwriter – Anti-Aging Newsletter
Confidential employer
Amy's is launching a new anti-aging and healthy-longevity newsletter, and we're hiring a part-time content researcher & scriptwriter to power it. Work starts part-time / assignment-based. If you show and prove to be an asset, we will ask you to become salaried.
What you'll do:
- Research anti-aging and longevity topics with real viral potential — what's working on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube right now, and why
- Write newsletter issues (we're aiming for 5 per month to start) in a tight, engaging style — see the examples below
- Write short-form video hooks and scripts (30–59 seconds) for our video editor, based on your research
- Track what's performing and double down on what works
The style we want — study these before applying:
- James Clear's "3-2-1" newsletter: short, scannable, one sharp idea per section. We want that discipline.
- Tim Ferriss's "5-Bullet Friday": curated, punchy, personality-driven. We want that energy.
- Peter Attia's newsletter: evidence-based health content that respects the reader's intelligence. We want that credibility.
We want the best of all three: short, credible, and impossible to skim past.
What we're looking for:
- Excellent English writing — this is a writing-first role
- Genuine interest in health, longevity, and the anti-aging space
- Strong research skills: you can find primary sources and separate real science from hype
- You understand how newsletters actually grow — lead magnets, referral loops, welcome sequences, highly shareable issues — not just how to write them
- You can write a hook that stops a scroll
Hours & pay: Part-time to start, assignment-based. Pay at market rate based on your ability — please include your rate when you apply.
HOW TO APPLY — READ THIS FIRST:
Most applicants skim job posts. We need people who don't. To prove you read this entire post, start your application message with this exact phrase: "WRITER Amy's sent me"
Applications that don't start with those exact four words will not be reviewed. No exceptions, no hard feelings — we just need people who follow instructions. (Starting with WRITER tells us you're applying for the researcher/writer role.)
Then answer these 5 questions in your application:
1. Which of the three example newsletters above best fits what we're building, and why (2–3 sentences)?
2. Share links to 2–3 writing samples (newsletter, blog, or video scripts — health topics preferred).
3. Name one anti-aging topic you think would go viral right now, and why.
4. What's one newsletter growth tactic you'd recommend for a brand-new publication?
5. What hours (Philippine time) are you generally available to work?
TEST PROJECT (required — we hire based on this):
1. Write a 250–350 word newsletter section on ONE anti-aging food or habit, in the style of the examples above. Pick something with viral potential and make the first line unskippable.
2. Write 3 one-line video hooks (under 12 words each) for the same topic — hooks for a 30–59 second vertical video.
Submit both with your application, as plain text or a Google Doc link. We hire based on the quality of this test: writing skill, research depth, and hook-writing ability. AI-generated spam is an instant reject — we can tell.
---
TEST PROJECT 2 (required — we hire based on this too):
We publish a monthly roundup of Vancouver birthday freebies: ----------
1. Write an Instagram caption (under 150 words) announcing this month's birthday freebies roundup — hook in the first line, tease 3 freebies, end with a call to action to visit the link in bio.
2. Write a 100-word newsletter blurb for the same roundup.
Both should make people want to click, not just inform them. Submit as plain text with your application. We hire based on hook-writing and how clickable the copy feels.
