YouTube Video Editor — US Politics, Final Checks & Shorts

We're hiring a dependable editor to prepare YouTube commentary videos about US politics and current affairs for release. You'll receive videos that are already edited or assembled, check the finished result, apply our branding, correct small issues and prepare the uploads. You'll also turn selected moments into vertical Shorts. We're looking for someone to work with us on an ongoing basis.

Clean, straightforward commentary editing: clear speech, readable text, consistent branding and tidy cuts. Shorts should have a clear opening, a complete point, accurate subtitles and framing that works on a phone.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Review each supplied video for editing errors, missing visuals, awkward cuts, audio problems and caption mistakes.

• Add the supplied branding consistently and make minor corrections before export.

• Produce 3 Shorts total per day from the supplied videos, with vertical framing and checked subtitles.

• Upload the completed videos and Shorts in YouTube Studio, following the supplied titles, descriptions, thumbnails, visibility and scheduling instructions.

• Check exported files and uploads, keep project files organised, and communicate any issues or delays on ---------- .

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Examples of YouTube edits and vertical Shorts you personally worked on, with your contribution explained.

• Careful attention to audio, captions, branding and export quality.

• Strong English comprehension for reviewing spoken commentary and written captions.

• Confidence with your editing software, vertical reframing and YouTube Studio, or a clear explanation of any areas you are still learning.

• A reliable editing setup and internet connection for regular exports and uploads.

• Availability for the stated daily output and agreed delivery times.

Workload: 3 finished videos + 3 Shorts total per working day. The Shorts total is 3 across the daily batch.

Turnaround: Daily delivery; working days and upload times will be agreed with the team.
