Content & Publishing Operations Assistant

We are a British publishing company looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented person to join our publishing team.

You will help create and prepare books for Amazon KDP, working across research, content, editing, design and quality control.

This is not a basic data-entry or copy-and-paste VA role. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with content, technology and AI and wants to develop into a professional publishing role.

Responsibilities
Research book topics, competitors and markets
Assist with book creation and content development
Proofread and quality-check manuscripts
Use ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and other AI tools
Check AI-assisted content for errors and quality
Assist with Canva, book covers and A+ Content
Prepare books for Amazon KDP
Check metadata and book listings
Organise files, projects and deadlines
Follow SOPs and quality-control processes
Identify problems and suggest improvements

Requirements:

Excellent written English
Strong attention to detail
Good research and organisational skills
Comfortable using AI tools and learning new software
Able to work independently
Takes constructive feedback professionally
Learns from mistakes and improves
Reliable and interested in a long-term position
Previous publishing, writing, editing, proofreading, content or KDP experience is an advantage

KDP experience is NOT essential — training will be provided to the right person.
