Driver Care Advocate & Fleet Support Specialist (Remote)
Confidential employer
About the Role
Behind every steering wheel in our fleet is a dedicated man or woman carrying the weight of the day: tight schedules, unpredictable highway traffic, demanding routes, and everyday life waiting at home. When frustrations mount or the day turns chaotic, our drivers do not need an armchair therapist, a corporate lecture, or unsolicited advice.
They need a calm, steady anchor on the other end of the line -someone who listens, helps them take a breath, and de-escalates high-stress moments before they spiral out of control.
We are seeking a warm, grounded Driver Care Advocate to serve as a supportive presence for our drivers across the Southeast. Beyond phone de-escalation, this role participates in driver onboarding, team meetings, and virtual check-ins. Your mission is simple: listen without judgment, speak peace into chaotic situations, help drivers decompress, and remind them that they are valued, respected, and never on the road alone.
Core Responsibilities
Active Listening & Emotional De-escalation: Step directly into tense, high-pressure situations to talk drivers "off the ledge" when route frustrations, road delays, or personal stresses threaten to derail their day.
Proactive Check-Ins: Conduct friendly, low-pressure outbound calls to drivers on the road just to ask: "How is your route treating you today?" and offer an open ear.
Holding Safe Space Without Giving Unsolicited Advice: Allow drivers to vent and leave the stress on the call without attempting marital therapy, legal advice, or financial consulting.
Mindset & Breath Resets: Guide drivers through practical, immediate calming techniques - encouraging them to pause, take deep breaths, step out of the cab to stretch, and refocus on finishing their route safely.
Video Engagement & Onboarding Presence: Welcome new drivers during virtual onboarding sessions, attend operational video meetings, and connect with drivers during lot breaks.
Preserving Driver Morale: Serve as an advocate whose warmth, consistency, and genuine care keep good drivers engaged, valued, and retained in our fleet.
Our Culture & Values
We operate on a strong foundation of servant leadership, personal grace, and moral grounding. Our ideal advocate is someone who is comfortable speaking blessings, offering words of faith, hope, and prayer when welcomed by the driver, and reassuring our team that God has their steps in His hands and that everything is going to be okay.
Mandatory Requirements
100% Native-Level, Accent-Free Spoken English: Crystal-clear verbal clarity and a clean, neutral accent are strictly non-negotiable. Drivers communicate through hands-free vehicle audio, Bluetooth, and cellular lines with background road noise; there can be zero accent friction, lag, or difficulty understanding what is being said.
High-Influence ("I") Presence: A naturally soothing, confident, and persuasive vocal tone that instantly lowers the temperature of an agitated driver.
Professional On-Camera Presence: A warm, engaging presentation on video calls with a quiet, organized, and distraction-free remote work environment.
Firm Boundary Discipline: The wisdom to offer surface-level comfort, encouragement, and active listening without overstepping into clinical psychology or operational dispatch management.
Unshakable Composure: The ability to remain patient, unhurried, and peaceful even when the person on the other end is angry, overwhelmed, or in panic mode.
Reliability: Consistent availability and immediate responsiveness during scheduled operational fleet hours (US Eastern Time).
How to Apply (Required Video Introduction)
We do not review traditional text resumes for this position. Because this role lives across phone de-escalation, driver onboarding, and team video meetings, we evaluate personal presence, vocal warmth, and clear communication first.
To be considered, you must submit a link to a 60-to-90-second video recording (using a free tool like ---------- , a smartphone video uploaded to Google Drive, or an unlisted YouTube link) covering two things:
Brief Introduction (15–20 seconds): Introduce yourself and share why supporting frontline drivers through encouragement and active listening resonates with you.
The De-escalation Scenario (45–60 seconds): Simulate how you would address this real-world situation:
"You are reaching out to Marcus, a driver who has been stuck in bumper-to-bumper traffic for two hours, is running late for his afternoon pickups, and is threatening to park the vehicle and walk off the job because he is fed up. Show us how you would open that conversation, help him take a breath, and de-escalate the moment."
ATTENTION*** (Applications submitted without a video link will be automatically disqualified.)
