React Native Mobile App Developer – iOS & Android

Remote | Philippines

We are looking for an experienced React Native developer based in the Philippines to help complete an existing business management mobile app, resolve outstanding issues and prepare it for release on the Apple App Store, with ongoing support for Android.

You will work directly with our lead developer, product owner and QA team through development, testing, bug fixing and release.

Responsibilities

Review the existing React Native app and identify what needs completing before launch.

Complete outstanding features and resolve functional, interface, performance and compatibility issues.

Integrate and troubleshoot REST APIs, authentication, permissions and data handling.

Build and refine mobile interfaces using supplied designs and Figma references.

Implement navigation, forms, notifications, file/image uploads, local storage and offline handling where required.

Test and debug the app across iOS and Android devices.

Work with QA testers to reproduce issues, implement fixes and check for regressions.

Manage iOS builds, TestFlight testing and Apple App Store submissions.

Support Android builds and Google Play Store releases.

Maintain clean, documented code and contribute to code reviews and automated testing.

Essential experience

Strong practical experience building and maintaining React Native apps.

Strong knowledge of React and JavaScript/TypeScript.

Experience taking an iOS app through TestFlight and Apple App Store submission, including signing, provisioning and resolving submission issues.

Experience developing and debugging Android apps.

Experience with REST APIs, JSON, authentication and secure token storage.

Familiarity with Redux, Zustand, Context API or similar state management.

Experience with React Navigation or equivalent tools.

Confidence working with Git, GitHub/GitLab and an existing codebase.

Experience with Xcode, Android Studio, CocoaPods and Gradle.

Clear written and spoken English, reliable communication and the ability to work independently.

Access to a Mac capable of running Xcode for iOS development and builds.

Useful additional experience

Expo and Expo Application Services (EAS).

Push notifications, Firebase and deep linking.

Crash reporting, mobile analytics and performance optimisation.

Automated testing using Jest, React Native Testing Library or Detox.

Native Swift/Objective-C or Kotlin/Java troubleshooting.

Mobile CI/CD pipelines.

Business management, CRM or field service applications.

About the role

We need someone comfortable joining an existing project, understanding the current code and helping get the app ready for production. You should explain technical issues clearly, provide realistic estimates and collaborate closely with our developer and testers.

The initial focus is completing the app and achieving a successful launch. There is potential for ongoing development and maintenance work following release.
