Senior Full-Stack Developer – CRM / SaaS Platform

We are looking for a highly experienced full-stack developer to work alongside our lead developer and help complete, improve and maintain an existing business management platform.

The platform includes job management, scheduling, quotes, invoicing, inventory, purchasing, staff timesheets and accounting integrations. We need someone who understands how these workflows connect and can deliver reliable, production-ready software.

This role suits a senior developer who can take ownership, investigate complex problems and improve an existing codebase.

Responsibilities

Work alongside our lead developer to complete outstanding features and resolve existing issues.

Develop and maintain frontend interfaces, backend services, APIs and database functionality.

Review existing code, identify weaknesses and implement practical improvements.

Ensure workflows operate correctly from start to finish, including quotes, jobs, invoices, inventory and accounting synchronisation.

Investigate bugs, fix their underlying causes and prevent recurring issues.

Improve application performance, security, data integrity and usability.

Work closely with QA testers to reproduce issues, verify fixes and cover edge cases.

Write and maintain automated tests, including integration and end-to-end tests where appropriate.

Review code, document changes and follow consistent Git workflows.

Coordinate API changes with our separate React Native mobile developer.

Support releases and ongoing improvements after launch.

Required Experience

Ideally 5+ years of professional full-stack development experience, with substantial responsibility for production applications.

Strong frontend development skills using modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks.

Strong backend development skills, including API design, authentication, permissions and business logic.

Strong database experience, including relational data modelling, migrations, query optimisation and transaction handling.

Proven ability to understand and improve an existing application.

Experience debugging complex workflows and integrations.

Experience with Git, pull requests, code reviews and automated testing.

Understanding of secure access controls and separation of customer data in SaaS applications.

Clear written and spoken English.

Ability to work independently, communicate progress and flag problems early.

Highly Regarded

Previous work on CRM, ERP, job management, field service or accounting software.

Experience with quotes, invoicing, purchasing, inventory and timesheet workflows.

Experience with Xero or other accounting integrations, including synchronisation, error handling and reconciliation.

Understanding of Australian GST, including tax-inclusive and tax-exclusive pricing, GST-free items, discounts and rounding.

Experience with OCR or extracting data from supplier invoices.

Experience with Playwright, CI/CD and regression testing.

Experience supporting a SaaS product through launch and ongoing production use.
