Content & Growth Manager — Social Media, Community and Lead Generation
Confidential employer
We are looking for an experienced Content & Growth Manager to run the day-to-day content, social-media, community-engagement and lead-management system for three established businesses in British Columbia, Canada.
The businesses operate in separate markets:
1. A Victoria-area real-estate business serving homeowners, buyers, sellers, relocators, upsizers and downsizers.
2. A custom-home and major-renovation company serving homeowners, landowners, architects, REALTORS and developers.
3. A civil excavation company building relationships with developers, estimators, general contractors and other industry partners.
These are three separate brands. They must maintain distinct audiences, voices, graphics, content calendars, folders and public identities. This is not a cross-promotion role.
You will not be expected to film and edit every piece of content yourself. You will coordinate with an owner, director, videographer and editor. Your job is to make the complete marketing system work: research, planning, briefing, coordination, writing, publishing, engagement, lead capture, CRM handoff and performance reporting.
We are not looking for someone who measures success only by how many posts were published. We want someone who understands that content should build trust, start useful conversations and create qualified business opportunities.
What you will own
◦ Maintain one master production calendar and three separate brand calendars.
◦ Research each audience, local market, competitors, search behaviour and useful content opportunities.
◦ Turn the owner's knowledge, opinions, project access and recorded footage into clear content briefs.
◦ Coordinate deadlines and deliverables with the director, videographer and editor.
◦ Adapt approved content appropriately for Facebook , Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn and other selected channels.
◦ Write strong captions, hooks, titles, descriptions, calls to action, email copy and basic SEO metadata.
◦ Schedule, publish and quality-check all approved content.
◦ Manage routine comments, direct messages and community interaction in the correct brand voice.
◦ Monitor relevant local and industry conversations and identify appropriate opportunities to engage.
◦ Ask initial qualification questions, capture contact information and route genuine leads quickly.
◦ Maintain accurate lead source, status, notes and follow-up information in the CRM.
◦ Maintain organized content libraries, brand assets, permissions, passwords and reusable templates.
◦ Produce concise weekly reporting on completed work, audience response, leads, appointments and lessons.
◦ Recommend experiments based on evidence and follow them through to a measurable conclusion.
The three content programs
Capital City Group — Real Estate
The primary audience is homeowners in Victoria and the Capital Regional District who may be upsizing, downsizing, selling or relocating. Additional audiences include buyers, first-time buyers, investors and developers.
Content should emphasize:
◦ Local property and market intelligence
◦ Moving, selling and buying strategy
◦ Victoria-area communities and lifestyle
◦ Negotiation and transaction knowledge
◦ Construction and property-condition insight
◦ Selective personal content that supports trust without turning the brand into a lifestyle account
The brand's service promise is: Choose Experience, Expect Results.
Footprint — Custom Homes and Renovations
The audience includes homeowners, landowners, people searching for land, REALTORS, architects, designers and developers. Typical projects are substantial custom builds and renovations.
Content should emphasize:
◦ How homes are actually designed and built
◦ Cost, process and transparency
◦ Diagnosing construction problems
◦ Practical solutions and case studies
◦ Design-build and preconstruction decisions
◦ Evidence of meticulous, capable execution
Footprint must remain publicly separate from the real-estate brand.
Argus Excavating — Civil Construction
The objective is to strengthen Argus's professional civil-contractor presence, build relationships with estimators, general contractors and developers, increase invitations to tender and generate repeat work.
Content should demonstrate:
◦ Capabilities, equipment and crews
◦ Civil work and site-servicing knowledge
◦ Project planning and problem-solving
◦ Safety, professionalism and execution
◦ Project progress and completed work
◦ Credibility with commercial and development partners
What the owner retains
The owner will provide subject-matter expertise, opinions, access to properties and jobsites, and approval of sensitive material. The owner will also handle qualified sales conversations, estimates, negotiations and closing.
You must flag technical, financial, legal, client-sensitive or reputation-sensitive statements for approval. You will be expected to organize content into efficient approval batches rather than requesting scattered approvals throughout every day.
Required qualifications
◦ At least three years of relevant social-media, content-marketing or digital-growth experience
◦ Demonstrated responsibility for strategy and execution, not scheduling alone
◦ Excellent written and spoken English
◦ Experience managing more than one brand, client or audience at the same time
◦ Strong content-calendar, project-management and deadline-management skills
◦ Experience with community management and professional direct-message communication
◦ Experience qualifying leads and maintaining a CRM or equivalent lead-management system
◦ Ability to interpret analytics and explain what should change as a result
◦ Strong judgment, attention to detail and willingness to take ownership
◦ Reliable computer, high-speed internet and professional remote-work environment
Helpful but not mandatory
◦ Experience in real estate, construction, home improvement, civil contracting or professional services
◦ Familiarity with Follow Up Boss or another sales CRM
◦ Basic short-form video editing, clipping, thumbnail or graphic-design skills
◦ Experience coordinating videographers, editors or creative contractors
◦ Familiarity with email marketing, local SEO and YouTube optimization
◦ Experience working with Canadian, American, Australian or British clients
What success looks like
Within 90 days, you will have:
◦ Established reliable, separate workflows for all three brands
◦ Created organized calendars and content libraries
◦ Maintained a consistent publishing and engagement cadence
◦ Reduced the owner's administrative involvement in content production
◦ Implemented prompt and accurate lead capture and routing
◦ Produced reporting that connects content and conversations to qualified opportunities
◦ Demonstrated that you can identify problems, recommend solutions and follow through
