Creative VA — Canva Listing Design & Pinterest Pins (Available to Start Now, Paid Trial)
Confidential employer
Hi! I'm Toni and I run TopSheets, a growing digital product business selling spreadsheet templates (Google Sheets + Excel) on Etsy and my own website, in four languages. I'm hiring a creative VA to handle the recurring design and content work that keeps the business visible: Etsy listing graphics, Pinterest pins, and eventually short-form social content.
I'm hiring right now. Trial week starts on Monday, October 12th, 2026. Please apply only if you're available and able to start by that date.
This is batch, repetitive, template-driven work, and you'll get very fast at it. If you like production-style creative work where you get faster and more precise the more you do it, this is a great fit.
It's a part-time role built around a weekly task list: I send you the list at the start of the week, and you deliver by the end of the week. You choose your own hours. No time tracking, no fixed schedule. I care about finished work, not hours online.
What You'll Do
Canva listing design (the core of the role)
I'm upgrading all of my Etsy listing pages to a new brand style, and I have a style guide to work from. Each product has 8–15 listing images, and the work for each product breaks into three repeatable steps:
1. Redesign: adapt the product's current listing images into the new style. This is the only truly new design work for that product.
2. Color variations: swap the mockup photos for screenshots of the other color-palette versions of the template, and update accent colors to match each palette. Same layout, same text, new visuals and colors.
3. Language versions: paste in the translations I provide (German, Spanish, French), and swap the mockup images (laptops, iPads, etc.) for screenshots of that language's template. No translation work required from you.
Once step 1 is done for a product, steps 2 and 3 are very mechanical. All future listing mockups (new templates, bundles, seasonal updates) will follow the same new style.
- Reference: browse my current Etsy shop here: ---------- . These are the listings being upgraded, so treat them as context, not the target. The new style stays clean and practical, matching a genuine spreadsheet/planner aesthetic. It is not flashy, trendy, or AI-generated-looking.
- You'll work inside a dedicated Canva workspace folder I'll share with you (edit access).
- Design pins in Canva using my brand templates (static + video pins)
- Deliver a set number of finished pins each week. I handle scheduling and descriptions myself.
Social media content (growing part of the role)
- I'm currently on Pinterest only. I plan to build Instagram and TikTok accounts down the road, and I'd like the person in this role to grow with that
- Create short-form photo and video posts (reels/TikToks) showing our templates in use: aesthetic, satisfying, planner-community style content
- I provide the screen recordings and brand kit; you bring the editing and the eye
Requirements
- Available to start the paid trial week on 10/12/2026
- Strong Canva skills (portfolio required)
- Comfortable with batch/repetitive production work, keeping variations organized and on-brand
- Detail-oriented: color consistency, correct text swaps across language versions, no leftover placeholder text
- Strong written English
- Reliable internet
- Organized: consistent file naming, uses Google Drive, communicates proactively if something is unclear or delayed
- Video editing skills for Reels/Shorts, Pinterest marketing experience, experience growing a brand-new Instagram or TikTok account, or interest in the planner/stationery content niche
Pay & Process
- Paid trial week: I will hire 3 candidates for a one-week paid trial ($45 flat, paid regardless of outcome). Everyone gets the same task list and reference assets. One person gets the ongoing role.
- Ongoing: flat weekly rate of $65/week for approximately 8–10 hours of tasks, paid weekly via [Wise/PayPal/Payoneer].
- Long-term role, with the social media piece growing over time as we build that side of the business.
How to Apply
1. Start your application with the word CANVAS so I know you read this posting.
2. Tell me the date you could start the trial week, roughly how many hours per week you have open for this role, and whether you currently have other clients.
3. Link a Canva portfolio or 3–5 examples of design work (listing images, social graphics, mockups). Tell me in one line what YOU did on each.
4. Link 1–2 examples of Pinterest pins you've designed, if you have any. Bonus if you can also name the Pinterest profiles you've managed or created for.
5. Link 1–2 examples of short-form vertical content (Reels/TikToks) you've edited, if you have any. Not required, but a plus. Bonus if you can also name accounts you've managed or created content for.
6. Based on the three-step listing process above and the kind of content described, roughly how many of each do you think you could realistically complete in a typical week?
- Listing page groups (up to 15 pages per product; see my Etsy shop for examples):
- Pins:
- Social media posts (photo or video):
7. In 2–3 sentences, tell me: how do you stay organized when producing lots of variations of the same design (different colors, different languages, etc.)?
8. Link one Instagram or TikTok account (any brand) whose content style you love, and tell me in one sentence why. Also tell me whether you'd be comfortable managing Instagram and/or TikTok accounts down the road.
9. What's your preferred way to get paid: Wise, PayPal, or Payoneer?
Applications that don't follow these steps will not be considered. If anything here needs clarification, feel free to ask before applying. Thanks, and I'm excited to meet you!
