About the Role

I am looking for a skilled 3D artist to turn a concept image into a real 3D scene.

THE PROJECT
The concept is an aerial view of a surf lagoon resort: a large wave pool with a sandy beach edge and a central wave-generating structure, a main clubhouse building, beach cabanas, a small waterpark area, a pool and amenity areas, sports courts (tennis/pickleball and beach volleyball), parking lots, walking paths, a service building, and heavy tropical landscaping (palms and trees) with a highway and water along the edges.

I will share the reference image with shortlisted applicants.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Build the scene in 3D from the reference image (terrain, lagoon, buildings, landscaping, parking, paths, props)
  • Set up realistic water, sand, lighting and materials
  • Deliver high-quality still renders from several camera angles (aerial, mid-level, and ground level)
  • Deliver a short camera fly-through video of the full site
  • Make revisions based on my feedback
  • Share your working files (not only the final renders)

WHAT I NEED FROM YOU

  • Proven 3D environment or architectural visualization work (portfolio required)
  • Strong skills in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp, Unreal Engine, Lumion, or a similar tool (tell me which one you use)
  • Good eye for realistic lighting, water, and landscaping
  • Able to work from a reference image and keep the layout faithful to it
  • Clear written English and quick replies
  • Reliable internet and a computer that can handle large scenes and rendering
  • Honest time tracking. I would rather you tell me early if something will take longer than estimated.

PAY AND HOURS
$10 per hour, up to about 20 hours per week (around $800/ month). I will pay for hours worked and logged, so please give a realistic time estimate for each stage.

HOW TO APPLY
Please include:
1. Your portfolio or links to 3D scenes you have built (environments, resorts, parks, or buildings are best)
2. The software you will use
3. A rough estimate of how many total hours you think this project will take, and how you would break it into stages
4. Your availability and timezone
5. Whether you use AI tools in your workflow, and for what. All final models must be your own 3D work, not AI images presented as 3D.

Applications without a portfolio link will not be considered. Start your application with the word "3D" so I know you read this post.
