Roadside Maintenance Assistant

SA TRUCKING INC is looking for a reliable, quick-thinking Fleet & Roadside Maintenance Assistant to help our drivers resolve truck and trailer issues, coordinate repairs, and minimize downtime and repair costs.

What you’ll do:

Respond to driver calls and messages within one minute during your assigned shift.

Collect details about equipment issues, including location, symptoms, fault codes, and photos.

Find repair shops, mobile mechanics, towing services, and roadside assistance.

Compare estimates and negotiate pricing to find timely, cost-effective repairs.

Guide drivers through safe basic inspections and minor troubleshooting within their training.

Coordinate repairs, follow up with service providers, and keep drivers and dispatch updated.

Track repair costs, invoices, and recurring maintenance issues.

What we’re looking for:

Experience in trucking, fleet maintenance, dispatch, or roadside assistance preferred.

Basic knowledge of commercial trucks, trailers, and common mechanical issues.

Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Ability to stay calm, act quickly, and manage multiple issues.

Reliable internet, phone access, and a quiet workspace.

Availability for assigned shifts, including nights, weekends, or holidays.

Schedule: Shift-based coverage supporting a 24/7 operation. You must be available and responsive throughout your assigned shift.

Pay: Based on experience
