Dynamic & Creative Editor with Strong Colour & Design Sense (Canva + CapCut) — Minimalist Theme (Hint of Newsroom

We are an online education platform seeking a creative Video Editor with an eye for design that resonates with students aged 12 to 16.

Our branding is defined by a hint of newsroom-aesthetics: sleek, modern, high-contrast, and minimalist. We produce narrative-driven educational masterclasses combining modern, high-contrast colour schemes, kinetic typography, structured visual cards, clean vector graphics and, occasionally, cinematic backdrop scenes.

This position starts at 24 hours/week payable weekly, with opportunities for expanded hours and long-term growth (unless terminated by either party).

Workflow & Execution

• Tools: Skilled with Canva and CapCut (utilizing Canva's built-in tools for visual elements and AI asset sourcing).
• Project Ownership: Ability to take a project independently from initial visualization to final, polished conclusion.
• Design & Layout: Strong colour sense, layout skills, and use of negative space to create visual cards, lower thirds, and overlays that elevate the brand.
• Kinetic Typography & Motion: Implement crisp typography (modern fonts), kinetic text overlays, and reactive audio visualizers synced to voice narration (available in Canva).
• Template Efficiency: Able to build and leverage Canva and CapCut templates to maintain fast turnarounds and consistent visual standards.

Candidate Profile

• Self-Directed: Able to work independently, make tasteful visual decisions, and take full ownership of projects without step-by-step handholding.
• Student-Centric Vision: Have an intuitive understanding of modern visual storytelling that keeps younger audiences (ages 12–16) engaged through clean, modern, high-contrast visuals.
• Proficient in Canva & CapCut: Experienced in keyframing, typography, layer management, and template workflows.

Evaluation
