Full-Time Video Editor – Long Form + Shorts
About Us
We are a husband-and-wife real estate team serving the Dallas–Fort Worth, Texas market. YouTube is one of the most important parts of our business and has directly generated leads and real estate clients.
Our content helps viewers learn about Dallas–Fort Worth, compare cities and communities, tour homes, understand the real estate market and make informed relocation decisions.
We are looking for an experienced video editor to become a long-term member of our team.
This is not a general virtual assistant, graphic designer, social media manager or entry-level editing position. Your primary responsibility will be editing excellent long-form and short-form video content.

The Position
You will edit videos for the McGraw Group and our personal brands. Although Keela is the primary person featured in much of our content, this position is not exclusively for one person.
Our target publishing schedule is:
- Two long-form YouTube videos per week
- Approximately one informational video each week
- Approximately one home or community tour each week
- Short-form videos for YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels and TikTok
- Occasional client stories, case studies, listings and behind-the-scenes content
This is a full-time position, not a per-video contract. Assignments will vary based on our current priorities and will be managed within a reasonable 40-hour workweek.
The Type of Editor We Need
We are not looking for someone who only removes mistakes, adds captions and uses transitions.
We need an editor who can understand the story, audience and purpose of a video. You should be able to take raw footage, scripts and supporting materials and turn them into compelling content without needing instructions for every edit.
You should know how to:
- Build a strong opening that captures attention
- Improve pacing and remove unnecessary sections
- Maintain viewer interest throughout a long-form video
- Use relevant B-roll to support what is being said
- Incorporate maps, community footage, screenshots and photographs
- Use clean text, graphics, music and sound design
- Preserve the personality of the person on camera
- Recognize strong moments that can become short-form videos
- Make each Short feel like a complete piece of content
- Create polished videos without overediting them
We want storytelling and intentional editing—not random effects, excessive captions or constant motion with no purpose.
