Shopify Specialist (Theme & Page Builder)
Confidential employer
Dear Applicants,
Shopify Specialist (Theme & Page Builder) – We're Hiring!
Our product team plans every page: the idea, which sections go where, and the copy. You bring it to life on our Shopify store as a clean, polished page that works beautifully on every screen. If you have years of Shopify experience, a sharp eye for detail, and enjoy using AI tools to work faster, this role is for you.
IMPORTANT: We value responsible, self-motivated people who take ownership of their work and can deliver quality work with minimal supervision.
Job Scope:
- Build and update pages on our Shopify store (product, collection, landing and campaign pages) from briefs prepared by our product team
- Customise our existing theme (sections, blocks and templates) and work with page builder apps such as GemPages, PageFly or Shogun
- Make every page look polished and on-brand: consistent spacing, alignment, font sizes, colours and image quality
- Create or adapt simple visuals (banners, section images) using AI tools and our in-house design guidelines, and judge whether the result looks right before using it
- Use AI coding tools (such as Codex or Claude) to speed up builds, and check and test everything they produce before it goes live
- Test every page before publishing: mobile layout, loading speed, links, and that it matches the brief
- Flag layout or usability problems early and suggest simple fixes, for example content that will not work well on a phone
- Update pages for launches, promotions and seasonal campaigns
You should have:
- At least 4 years of hands-on Shopify experience building and improving store pages
- Confidence editing Liquid and CSS within an existing theme (adjusting sections, adding settings, fixing layouts). You will customise our theme, not build themes or apps from scratch
- Experience with at least one page builder app (GemPages, PageFly, Shogun or similar)
- Evidence of improving a page's conversion or performance, with the before and after to show for it
- A strong eye for visual detail: you notice when spacing is off, text is too small, images look stretched or a page feels cluttered
- Good UI/UX awareness: you know what makes a page easy to use on a phone, and how to fix it when it is not
- Comfort using AI tools to create visuals and write or edit code, and checking their output carefully
You do not need to be a graphic designer. Visuals can be created with AI tools using our design guidelines. What matters most is your eye for detail and your sense of what makes a page look good and sell well.
Note:
- Full-time basis, 40 hrs/week
- Monday to Friday
- 14 days of Paid Annual Leave and Paid Public Holidays Benefits (all major holidays in the Philippines) included
IMPORTANT: When applying, please provide:
- Your CV/Resume
- A short video introduction of yourself and why you think you're a good fit
- Why you are leaving your last job or what you were doing just before this application
- Links to 2 to 3 Shopify pages you built or improved (live links preferred), with a short note on what you did for each. If you improved a page's conversion or speed, share the before and after
Applications without the above points will be less considered.
P.S. Please format your replies in point form according to the items asked above, e.g.:
