About the Role

We're hiring a full-time Social Media & Digital Marketing Specialist to own our social presence and paid digital advertising end-to-end. This is not an entry-level content-scheduling role — we need someone who can independently plan strategy, manage real ad budgets, and make fast creative judgment calls, especially around our event schedule.

Responsibilities:

Own the content calendar and posting strategy across social platforms
Write captions, copy, and direct static graphic creation
Manage community engagement, DMs, and comments professionally and on-brand
Plan, launch, and actively optimize paid ad campaigns (Meta Ads Manager required; Google Ads a plus) — you will own real budget and be accountable for performance
Track and report on analytics, ad performance (ROAS, CPA, CTR), and audience growth
Organize and maintain a structured content/asset library (raw files, brand assets, past campaign creative) so nothing gets lost between events
Set up automation workflows (scheduling, reporting, repetitive tasks) using AI/automation tools
Flex your schedule around our event calendar — this includes evening/weekend availability tied to specific events, with more predictable hours between events

Requirements:

3-5 years of hands-on social media management experience, including at least 1-2 years managing actual paid ad spend (not just boosting posts)
Comfortable citing real campaign metrics you've moved (ROAS, CPA, CTR) — please reference specific results in your application
Strong copywriting and Canva/graphic design skills
Demonstrated organizational skills — asset/file management, content libraries, structured handoffs
Comfortable using AI/automation tools (ChatGPT, Zapier, etc.) daily
Strong written English communication
Able to flex hours around an events schedule, including some evenings/weekends
Please include: a link to 1-2 examples of paid campaigns you've run (with results if possible), and a one-sentence answer to "what's the first thing you'd check if an ad campaign's performance suddenly dropped?"
