About the Role

MIARI is a live SaaS platform for influencer marketing. We are hiring one hands-on senior full-stack developer to take long-term technical ownership of our website and application.

COMPENSATION AND HOURS
USD $600 per month, full-time, 40 hours per week. Please apply only if this budget works for you. We need 3-4 hours of daily overlap with Israel time (Asia/Jerusalem; UTC+2 or UTC+3 depending on daylight saving).

THE WORK
You will inherit an existing React/TypeScript application built with Lovable, managed through GitHub, with Supabase/PostgreSQL on the backend. It has technical debt and recurring production issues. The priority is to understand the system, stabilize critical flows, fix root causes, and make changes safely while supporting ongoing business requests.

We need a developer who can independently read, write, debug, review and explain code. Experience prompting AI tools alone is not sufficient. AI coding tools are welcome, but you must verify their output and personally own correctness, security and maintainability.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own frontend, backend, database, integrations and deployment troubleshooting end to end.
  • Diagnose production bugs using reproducible cases, browser/network tools, logs and SQL; document root causes and prevent regressions.
  • Refactor large React components and duplicated backend logic incrementally without breaking live customer workflows.
  • Work confidently in GitHub: branches, focused pull requests, code review, merge conflicts, checks, releases and rollback.
  • Maintain Supabase Auth, PostgreSQL schemas, migrations, Row Level Security (RLS), Edge Functions and webhooks.
  • Understand Lovable-generated code and the Lovable/GitHub workflow; safely improve the code directly when necessary.
  • Add meaningful tests for critical flows, including payments, contracts, permissions and integrations.
  • Prioritize issues, communicate realistic estimates, flag blockers early, and send concise daily updates with completed work, evidence and next steps.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Strong hands-on React, TypeScript, JavaScript, SQL and PostgreSQL skills in production systems.
  • Practical Supabase experience, including authorization/RLS and safe database changes.
  • Evidence of taking over an existing codebase, fixing difficult bugs and improving reliability.
  • Strong Git/GitHub skills and ability to explain architectural decisions and trade-offs.
  • Clear written English, dependable availability and independent execution.
  • Familiarity with Lovable, or the ability to quickly understand its workflow while demonstrating strong underlying engineering skills.

HOW TO APPLY - EMAIL ONLY
Send your application to ---------- MIARI SENIOR - REFACTOR - Your Name
All screening and interview coordination will be by email . Do not contact us on WhatsApp.

Include your CV, GitHub/portfolio links, earliest start date, availability in Israel time, and answers to ALL questions below. Use specific examples from your own work. Do not disclose a previous employer's confidential code or credentials.

SCREENING QUESTIONS
1. Confirm that USD $600/month for 40 hours/week works for you. State your available hours and current work commitments.
2. Describe a production system you personally maintained: stack, your exact responsibilities, and one relevant code sample or pull request you are allowed to share. If private, provide a sanitized sample and explain it.
3. Describe a difficult production bug you solved: symptoms, investigation, root cause, code/database change, and how you verified the fix.
4. How would you safely split a 4,300-line React component while feature work continues? Explain testing, PR size and rollback.
5. A logged-in user can access another customer's records in Supabase. Where would you investigate, how would you contain the problem, and how would you test the authorization fix?
6. A payment webhook may be delivered twice or concurrently. How would you prevent duplicate processing at the database level and handle retries safely?
7. A Lovable change conflicts with work in GitHub. Explain how you would inspect, resolve, test and deploy the result without losing valid changes.
8. What would you inspect in your first week before making large changes? Explain how you prioritize i ---------- , technical debt and feature requests.

SELECTION PROCESS

Email application and technical questionnaire -> shortlisted candidates complete a paid technical exercise -> code review and live technical interview -> final decision.

The exercise is 3-5 hours, paid USD $50, as in our existing hiring process. It uses an isolated sample project with fictional data, never our live system. It focuses on React/TypeScript debugging, Supabase authorization, safe webhook processing, tests and a clear GitHub-style change explanation. We will agree the scope and timing by email before you begin. You must disclose AI/tool assistance and be able to explain and modify your solution live.

We assess code quality, debugging depth, security, test evidence, system understanding and reliable communication. Our goal is to invite the two strongest candidates to interviews after reviewing their questionnaire and exercise. This is a long-term role for someone who takes real ownership of the system.
