About the Role

We are looking for an experienced freelance WordPress developer to support us with website builds, landing pages, technical fixes and ongoing website improvements.

This is not a full-time position and there are no guaranteed weekly hours. Projects will be offered as they become available. Some weeks may have several hours of work, while other periods may have little or no work.

This opportunity is best suited to an established freelancer who already manages their own schedule and would like to build an ongoing relationship with a digital marketing agency.

The role is primarily focused on WordPress and Elementor. We need someone who can accurately build from Figma designs, troubleshoot technical issues and deliver clean, responsive websites without constant supervision.

This is a development-focused role. Graphic design and video editing are not required.

Key Responsibilities

• Build complete WordPress websites using Elementor and Elementor Pro
• Convert supplied Figma designs into accurate, responsive webpages
• Create conversion-focused landing pages for advertising campaigns
• Build and edit pages across desktop, tablet and mobile
• Troubleshoot WordPress, Elementor, plugin and theme issues
• Improve website performance and Core Web Vitals
• Optimise images, caching, scripts and other page-speed elements
• Configure forms, email notifications and basic integrations
• Work with WordPress plugins, custom post types and dynamic content
• Complete website migrations, backups and staging-to-live deployments
• Make front-end adjustments using HTML, CSS and JavaScript
• Complete basic PHP and WordPress template customisation where required
• Work with WooCommerce websites and product pages
• Maintain clean, logical Elementor container structures
• Test completed work across browsers and screen sizes
• Identify possible problems before publishing changes
• Provide clear progress updates and communicate delays early

Essential Skills and Experience

• At least four years of hands-on WordPress development experience
• Strong recent experience with Elementor and Elementor Pro
• Demonstrated experience building complete websites, not only editing templates
• Ability to accurately build webpages from Figma designs
• Strong understanding of responsive development
• Competence with HTML and CSS
• Working knowledge of JavaScript and PHP
• Experience troubleshooting WordPress and plugin conflicts
• Understanding of website performance and page-speed optimisation
• Experience with forms, redirects, DNS, hosting, cPanel, FTP or SFTP
• Ability to work independently from a written brief
• Strong attention to detail
• Clear written and spoken English
• Reliable communication during agreed working hours

Working Arrangement

Projects will be assigned individually with an agreed scope, deadline and hourly or fixed-project budget.

You must be comfortable with:

• Work that varies from week to week
• Periods where no projects are available
• Responding within one business day
• Communicating during Philippine daytime and Australian business hours
• Providing progress updates while projects are underway
• Completing all assigned work personally

We are not looking for an agency or someone who will subcontract the work to another developer.

Applicants who are already working multiple full-time jobs will not be suitable. We need someone who has genuine capacity to accept and complete projects reliably when agreed.

Strong performance may lead to regular ongoing projects and increasing responsibility.
