About the Role

Full-Time Social Media Manager

Remote — Philippines | Pacific Time Hours | Immediate Start

We are a fast-growing U.S.-based beauty and e-commerce company looking for an experienced, highly organized Social Media Manager to take ownership of our day-to-day social media presence.

This is not simply a posting or scheduling role. We are looking for someone who understands social media strategy, knows what makes content perform, can identify trends and opportunities, and can independently manage the entire publishing workflow from approved creative through posting, community management, creator outreach, and performance reporting.

You will initially manage one Instagram account and two TikTok accounts, with the potential to expand into YouTube and Pinterest in the future.

This is a full-time, dedicated contractor position working U.S. Pacific Time hours. We are looking for someone who wants to become an integral part of our team and treats this role as their primary professional commitment.

What You'll Own

Social Media Strategy & Publishing

  • Own the social media calendar and day-to-day execution across 1 Instagram account and 2 TikTok accounts
  • Maintain a minimum cadence of one post per channel per day, with TikTok frequently requiring multiple daily posts
  • Develop and contribute to ongoing social media strategy based on performance, trends, launches, brand priorities, and platform changes
  • Schedule and publish approved content consistently and accurately
  • Write all captions, hooks, hashtags, keywords, titles, and other platform-specific copy
  • Optimize content for social search and discoverability
  • Ensure appropriate products are tagged correctly for TikTok Shop
  • Manage Instagram Stories and identify opportunities for additional daily content
  • Maintain an organized content pipeline so we always have upcoming content ready for approval and publishing

Content & Creative Coordination

Our team will provide professionally edited video content. Video editing is not part of this position.

However, you will be responsible for managing that content once it enters the social workflow.

This includes:

  • Managing content calendars and approvals through Notion
  • Keeping track of available, pending, and approved assets
  • Identifying gaps in the upcoming content calendar before they become problems
  • Requesting additional assets or creative when needed
  • Creating basic social graphics, Stories, carousels, thumbnails, and similar assets using Canva
  • Ensuring content is formatted and optimized appropriately for each platform

Community Management & Creator Outreach

  • Monitor and respond to comments and DMs across our social platforms
  • Engage thoughtfully with our audience and relevant accounts
  • Help build an active, recognizable brand community
  • Identify and reach out to relevant creators for gifting, collaborations, affiliate opportunities, and other partnerships
  • Track creator outreach and follow-ups
  • Flag customer service issues or important conversations for the appropriate team member

Trends & Social Listening

We expect this person to actively understand what is happening on social media—not simply publish what is handed to them.

You will:

  • Monitor TikTok and Instagram trends daily
  • Identify trending sounds, hooks, formats, conversations, and creative concepts relevant to our brands
  • Monitor beauty, hair, fashion, lifestyle, and e-commerce trends
  • Watch competitors and other high-performing brands for emerging opportunities
  • Regularly bring new content ideas and recommendations to the team
  • Identify opportunities to adapt trends to our brand rather than simply copying what others are doing

Analytics & Reporting

  • Track social performance across all managed channels
  • Prepare regular reporting on reach, views, engagement, follower growth, top-performing content, and other relevant KPIs
  • Identify what is and isn't working
  • Use performance data to recommend changes to our strategy and content calendar
  • Communicate meaningful insights—not simply copy numbers from platform analytics

Requirements

You must have:

  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience managing social media accounts for brands or businesses
  • Demonstrated experience managing Instagram and TikTok professionally
  • A portfolio, personal website, or examples of social media accounts and creative work you have personally managed
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Strong understanding of social media strategy, content planning, community management, and analytics
  • Experience writing social copy and optimizing content for engagement and discoverability
  • Strong organizational and project-management skills
  • Experience using Notion or similar workflow/project-management platforms
  • Experience using Canva
  • Comfort using AI tools such as ChatGPT and Claude as part of an efficient modern workflow
  • Strong understanding of TikTok and current social media culture
  • Ability to work independently and proactively
  • Reliable high-speed internet and a professional remote working environment

Experience in beauty, hair, fashion, lifestyle, e-commerce, or consumer products is strongly preferred.

Experience with TikTok Shop, creator/affiliate programs, and social commerce is also highly valuable.

Who We're Looking For

The right person is proactive, creative, analytical, and extremely organized.

We don't want someone who waits to be told that tomorrow's content hasn't been scheduled. We want someone who notices the gap several days beforehand and solves it.

You should be comfortable taking ownership of your responsibilities, bringing ideas to the team, asking questions when necessary, and keeping multiple social channels moving without constant oversight.

You should genuinely enjoy social media and naturally pay attention to what's trending, why certain content is performing, and how brands can participate in culture while maintaining their own identity.

Schedule

This is a full-time remote contractor position based in the Philippines.

You must be available to work approximately 9:00 AM–6:00 PM U.S. Pacific Time, Monday through Friday. There can be some flexibility around the exact start and end time, but your working day must begin during the Pacific Time morning and maintain significant overlap with our U.S.-based team.

Pacific Time availability is non-negotiable.

Because this is a full-time role, we are ideally looking for someone who does not maintain other ongoing clients. At minimum, you may not perform work for another company, client, or freelance project during your scheduled working hours with us.

This position must be treated as your primary professional commitment.

Compensation

$900–$1,400 USD per month, depending on experience and qualifications.

Compensation is paid twice monthly, with the monthly salary divided between two payments.

How to Apply

Please include the following with your application:

1. A brief introduction about yourself and your professional social media experience.
2. Your portfolio, personal website, or links to examples of work you have personally managed.
3. A description of your role on the accounts included in your portfolio. Be specific about what you personally owned versus what other team members handled.
4. Your total number of years managing social media professionally.
5. Your experience with Instagram, TikTok, TikTok Shop, creator outreach, Canva, Notion, ChatGPT, Claude, or similar tools.
6. Any experience you have working with beauty, hair, fashion, e-commerce, lifestyle, or consumer brands.
7. Confirmation that you are able to work full-time during U.S. Pacific Time hours.
8. Confirmation of your earliest possible start date.

Please also answer these questions

1. Tell us about one social media account you personally managed. What were you responsible for, and what measurable impact did your work have?

2. Choose one post or campaign from your portfolio that significantly outperformed the account's normal content. Why do you believe it performed so well?

3. You look at the content calendar on Monday and realize there isn't enough approved content to maintain our posting cadence beginning Thursday. What do you do?

4. You notice that a particular TikTok format is repeatedly outperforming our other content. How would you use that information to influence the following week's content strategy?

5. What beauty, fashion, lifestyle, or e-commerce brand do you think is doing an exceptional job on TikTok or Instagram right now, and why?

Applications without a portfolio or examples of professionally managed social media work will not be considered.

Immediate start preferred.
