BEAUTY VIDEO EDITOR & CONTENT CREATOR | REELS + EDUCATIONAL CONTENT

Hi! I’m Tiana, founder of Lash Me Tee, a Sydney-based lash and brow brand specialising in client services, professional education and mentoring, online education and professional lash supplies.
I’m looking for a creative Video Editor & Content Creator who can help turn my raw footage into high-quality, engaging short-form content for Instagram and other social platforms.
This is not a general VA position.
I’m specifically looking for someone who understands video editing, storytelling and beauty content and can bring their own creative ideas to the table.
I don't want to have to explain exactly where every cut, hook, piece of text or B-roll should go.
I'll provide the expertise and raw footage I want someone who can understand the purpose of the video and creatively turn it into content people actually want to watch.
THE CONTENT YOU'LL BE EDITING
You'll work with a mixture of:

• Talking-to-camera videos
• Educational beauty videos
• Green-screen videos
• Voiceovers
• Lash and brow tutorials
• Step-by-step treatment videos
• Before and after transformations
• Client content
• Student and training content
• Product demonstrations
• Mentoring content
• Behind-the-scenes footage
• Reels designed to build authority
• Promotional content for courses and mentoring
• Lash supply/product content
• Online education content
• Longer educational footage that can be broken into multiple short-form videos

For example, I may send you footage of an entire lash lift treatment.
Rather than simply cutting the clips together, I want you to understand the process enough to turn it into something like:
Step 1 → consultation/preparation
Step 2 → shield selection/placement
Step 3 → solution application
Step 4 → processing
Step 5 → next stages
Step 6 → finished result
You don't necessarily need to be a practising lash artist, but beauty industry experience or an understanding of lash lifts, lash extensions, brow services or beauty education would be a HUGE advantage.
If you already understand beauty terminology and treatment processes, please tell me in your application.
I NEED SOMEONE CREATIVE
This is really important.
I'm not looking for someone who only waits for me to say:
"Cut this at 3 seconds, put this text here and use this transition."
I want someone who can look at my raw footage and think:
“This section would make a great hook.”
“We could turn this treatment into three educational Reels.”
“You should film yourself explaining this part so I can green-screen the treatment behind you.”
“This could become a before/after Reel with a voiceover.”
“Next time you film, get this angle because it'll make the edit stronger.”
I want you to bring me references, inspiration, trending editing concepts and filming ideas that suit my brand.
If you see a Reel or editing style that would work for Lash Me Tee, I want you to send it to me and explain how we could adapt the concept.
EDITING STYLE
My brand is clean, elevated, feminine and educational.
Think:
Pinterest beauty editorial × clean girl × modern beauty education × quiet luxury.
I DON'T want:
Over-edited videos, tacky transitions, excessive effects, generic templates, cheesy fonts, cluttered captions or content that feels dated.
I DO want:
Clean cuts, intentional pacing, beautiful typography, strong hooks, good storytelling, tasteful effects, strategic B-roll, captions that are easy to read and edits that feel current without blindly copying trends.
You should understand when a video needs to be fast and punchy and when an educational video needs more breathing room.
SKILLS I'M LOOKING FOR
You should be confident with:

• CapCut or professional video editing software
• Short-form video editing
• Instagram Reels
• Talking-head editing
• Green-screen editing
• B-roll placement
• Voiceover editing
• On-screen captions/subtitles
• Sound design
• Music selection
• Hooks and retention editing
• Before/after beauty content
• Step-by-step educational videos
• Colour correction/basic video enhancement
• Repurposing longer footage into multiple pieces of content

Experience editing beauty industry content is strongly preferred.
Experience specifically with lashes, brows, hair, nails, skincare or cosmetic treatments would be amazing.
CONTENT IDEAS + INSPIRATION
I also want this person to help me become better at filming content.
Part of your role will be giving me direction such as:

• Videos I should film
• Talking-head topics
• Green-screen concepts
• Angles or B-roll I'm missing
• Trending formats we could adapt
• Educational video concepts
• Creative ways to show treatments
• Ways to turn one filming session into multiple Reels
• References/inspiration I can recreate
• Suggestions for improving lighting, framing or footage where necessary

I don't need you to physically film me because this is a remote position.
I need you to be able to tell me what to film and how you need it filmed, then take that footage and create the finished content.
ill also need things edited to create online lash courses.
ABOUT LASH ME TEE
Lash Me Tee has been operating since 2018.
My content isn't only about getting views.
I'm building my position as an educator, mentor and industry authority, while continuing to grow our client services, online education and professional lash supplies.
So the videos need to do more than look pretty.
They should help us educate, build trust, demonstrate expertise, create demand and generate leads.
