About the Role

If you're tired of one-off gigs and clients who disappear after three videos, this this is for you. It's steady, ongoing work with the same clients every week.

We're a content agency. We work with entertainers and creators, we take their raw footage and turn it into short clips for TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and Facebook . We put out ---------- clips a month across our roster.

You'll get your own set of clients and own their clips. Our editors stay with us long-term and their rosters grow over time.

ABOUT THE STYLE

You get full creative freedom. We don't have one house style you have to copy. We want our clients to look different from each other, not all cut from the same template. So you bring your own touch and adapt it to the clients you work with.

What isn't flexible: captions have to be accurate, timing has to be tight, and due dates get hit. Get those right and the creative side is yours.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Edit clips for your assigned clients: captions, graphics, hooks, cuts
  • Develop a look that suits each client you work with
  • Hit your weekly due dates
  • Get clips right the first time. Rework costs you time and us the posting schedule
  • Be available for two short calls and one team meeting a week, and daily communication on slack while working.

YOU'RE A FIT IF

  • You can edit short-form social video (CapCut, Premiere etc) - We supply you with CapCut Pro
  • Your English is strong enough to caption fast, casual US speech accurately, slang, accents and people talking over each other. This is the most important skill in the role
  • You're detail-focused. Caption typos and timing slips matter more here than anything else
  • You can work at volume without quality dropping
  • You can commit to a consistent weekly schedule

EQUIPMENT

  • You need a computer that handles video work, reliable internet, and storage space for raw footage. We send a lot of it and you'll be holding it while you work. An external hard drive is the normal setup, but plenty of free space on your computer works too.

PAY: Per approved clip:

  • $2.00 for your first 50 clips
  • $2.50 for the next 50
  • $3.00 after that

Plus a $15/week base fee for availability: calls, team meetings, Slack, and going through training material.

Once you're up to speed with a full client roster, that works out to roughly $1,000/month plus the base. Our current editors are at that level.

HOW TO APPLY

  • Put "CLIPMAKER" in your subject line.

Send:

  • Your portfolio, or 2–3 short-form clips you've edited (links, not attachments)
  • Your weekly availability in hours and your time zone
  • Your storage setup, external drive size and free space, or free space on your computer

Shortlisted applicants get a short test: one raw set, one clip, cut to timestamps we provide. Every applicant gets the same footage so we can compare fairly.

Independent contractor, remote.
