QA Engineer / AI-Assisted Software Builder

We are a US-based technology services business looking for a Philippines-based team member to help build and test internal software and custom software for our clients.

This is a full-time, long-term role at $8.50 USD per hour, 40 hours per week. We will agree on a schedule with daily overlap during US Eastern business hours.

You should have hands-on software QA experience and experience using AI coding tools to build working software. A traditional programming job history or computer science degree is optional. Personal projects are welcome as evidence of your AI development experience.

What you will do:

• Turn clear requirements into working features using tools such as Codex, Claude Code, Cursor, or similar AI coding tools.
• Test complete workflows, identify edge cases, reproduce bugs, verify fixes, and check for regressions.
• Work with Git, APIs, databases, and web applications while learning unfamiliar tools as needed.
• Help deploy, document, maintain, and improve software for internal use and client projects.
• Review AI output carefully, explain what you changed, and provide evidence that it works.
• Handle credentials and client information carefully, follow access controls and approval requirements, and raise security concerns promptly.

Our first project is a cybersecurity-focused AI assistant platform that can be deployed for different clients and managed remotely. You will help develop and test deployment, access controls, monitoring, updates, and recovery workflows. Other business software projects will follow.

Required:

• Practical software QA experience, including clear bug reports and regression testing.
• Demonstrated experience building or changing real software with AI coding tools.
• Good written and spoken English, clear communication, and dependable follow-through.
• Reliable computer and internet connection, with a backup plan for outages.
• Availability for 40 hours per week and acceptance of the advertised $8.50/hour rate.

Helpful experience includes test automation, Playwright, API testing, Linux, Docker, deployment, and cybersecurity. Please explain your current experience honestly; we value sound judgment and a willingness to learn.
