FULL-TIME Junior Creative Strategist for Fast-Growing DTC Supplement Brand
Confidential employer
About Us
We're a fast-growing DTC brand in the health supplement space, scaling with performance-driven creatives. Every ad we launch is backed by data and crafted to convert.
We're looking for a Junior Creative Strategist who thinks in angles, writes with intent, and wants to master the craft of building ads that sell, someone who's hungry to learn, test relentlessly, and grow into a key player on our creative team.
The Role
We're hiring a Junior Creative Strategist who can develop compelling ad concepts with a focus on long-form statics and direct-response copywriting for Meta & Google.
This is a long-term, remote role with a $2,000 base salary (exclusive of performance bonuses). Compensation can increase significantly based on performance.
What You'll Do
- Develop ad concepts and angles for long-form static ads, including advertorials, listicles, comparison statics, and educational formats
- Write direct-response copy — headlines, hooks, body copy, and CTAs that drive action
- Research competitors, audiences, and market trends to find winning angles
- Build creative briefs for designers and video editors to execute
- Work with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Higgsfield to speed up ideation and asset creation
- Analyze performance data and iterate on concepts based on KPIs such as CTR, CVR, CPA, and ROAS
- Test different angles, formats, and messaging frameworks at volume
- Collaborate closely with the Creative Manager, editors, and designers to push output
- Study winning ads across the DTC space and break down what makes them convert
- Experiment with new formats, storytelling structures, and persuasion techniques
You Need
- Some experience with long-form static ads and/or direct-response copywriting — personal projects or spec work count
- A basic understanding of marketing psychology, hooks, and consumer behavior
- Strong writing skills — you know how to make people stop scrolling and start reading
- Willingness to produce at volume — the target is 30+ static concepts per week
- Hunger to learn — you don't need to know everything, but you need to want to
- Ability to take feedback, move fast, and not get attached to ideas that don't perform
- Bonus: familiarity with the health/supplement space
A proven track record is a massive plus. If you've already worked on ads that performed — even a handful — that puts you ahead of the pack.
We'd much rather see 3 real ads with real results than a polished portfolio with no data behind it.
What You'll Get
- $2,000 base salary, exclusive of performance bonuses
- Compensation can increase significantly based on performance
- Fully remote role
- Direct mentorship and collaboration with experienced strategists, editors, and the Founder
- Managed under a dedicated Creative Manager who oversees strategy and creative output
- A real opportunity to grow into a senior strategist role as we scale
How to Apply
Start your application with the word ANGLE so we know you read the full post.
Then send us the following:
1. Your creative work
Send 3–5 examples of ad creatives you personally concepted, wrote copy for, or strategized — ideally static ads or written content that was used in paid campaigns.
For each example, include:
- A link or screenshot of the final creative
- What product/brand it was for
- What parts you were responsible for — concept, copy, design direction, or full execution
- Whether it ran as a paid ad, and on which platform
Portfolio pieces, freelance work, and spec projects are all acceptable — but real ads with real performance data will always stand out more.
2. Performance evidence — strongly preferred
If any of your work ran as paid traffic, send screenshots from Meta Ads Manager or other platforms showing actual performance.
Where available, we'd like to see metrics such as:
- Spend
- CTR
- CPC
- CPA / Cost per Purchase
- ROAS
- Hook rate / thumb-stop rate
We understand that junior candidates may not always have access to performance data. If you don't, that's okay — just be honest about it and tell us what you do know about how the creative performed.
If you do have data, share it. Proven results carry serious weight in this process.
You may blur client names, account IDs, revenue figures, or other sensitive information. We mainly want to verify that you have experience producing creatives that were genuinely used and tested with paid traffic.
3. Break down a winning ad
Pick any static ad or advertorial you've seen online that you think works well.
In 200–300 words, break down:
- What angle it uses and why it's effective
- How the copy is structured
- What makes someone stop and read it
- What you'd test or change to improve it
This tells us more about your strategic thinking than any resume will.
4. Tell us which tools you use or want to learn
List the tools you currently use or are familiar with for:
- Copywriting and research
- Static ad design — Figma, Canva, Photoshop, etc.
- AI content generation — ChatGPT, Claude, Higgsfield, etc.
- Ad spying and competitor research
- Organizing and managing creative output
We're particularly interested in strategists who are comfortable using AI tools to speed up research, ideation, and first drafts.
