About the Role

Hi! I'm Monique, a Melbourne-based beauty salon owner who teaches other beauty business owners how to grow and scale their businesses through education and coaching. 🌸

I'm looking for a reliable, detail-oriented editor to take over editing my weekly podcast and, later, my online course videos. You'd be a key part of getting helpful business education out to the beauty industry.

What you'll do

Edit one podcast episode per week. Raw footage ranges from 20 to 90 minutes per episode. Some weeks I film in batches, so you may get several episodes at once with advance notice.
Sync camera video with external audio, crop and centre, cut mistakes, repeat takes and long pauses, add intro/outro, normalise audio, apply retouch settings, and export.
Edit course videos (Zoom screen recordings) when I'm creating new courses.
Deliver an MP3 and an MP4 to a shared Google Drive folder with consistent file naming.

Room to grow with me
This is a great fit if you're looking for long-term, growing work. For the right person, there's real potential for more hours over time:

More course editing: I'm building new courses and each one needs a lot of video editing.
Other tasks: as I build my systems, I'd love to hand over more, and I'd rather train someone I already trust than start from scratch, so please feel free to mention other areas in which you have experience to assist my business further
Referrals: I know other podcasters and business owners who are looking for editors, and I'm happy to recommend a reliable editor to them.

Nothing is guaranteed, but if you do great work and communicate well, I'll be looking for ways to give you more.

You'll need

CapCut Pro (required, as the some settings in my process need it)
Experience editing in CapCut, or the ability to follow my process exactly
Reliable internet for uploading and downloading large video files
Good attention to detail (catching small errors, gaps and audio issues)
Clear communication and the ability to meet deadlines, with a turnaround of about 48-72 hours per episode
Comfortable following video and written instructions (I've recorded tutorials and written an editing guide)

Nice to have: Canva video editing, podcast or talking-head editing experience

About the work

Paid trial episode first, then ongoing weekly work if it's a good fit
Starts around 1 episode per week
Long-term preferred, no lock-in on either side

To apply, please include:

A short message on why you're the right fit for this role
A link to 1-2 editing samples (podcast or talking-head if you have them)
Your rate: hourly OR per-episode, and if per-episode, what you'd charge for a short (about 30 min), medium (about 60 min) and long (about 90 min) raw recording
Confirmation that you have CapCut Pro
Your availability and timezone

I'm warm, clear and organised, and I'll give proper training and feedback. 💕
